Hey y'all! I understand Posie is frustrating to you, but she is on an alien planet, desperately trying to get back home, with a mammoth of an alien technically holding her hostage. Also, we're only on chapter 4. There will be growth and ✨character development✨
Please remember she my creation, and I'd appreciate it you were kinder with your words regarding her decisions. Also remember, she is a completely made up character in a made up situation 😂

Love y'all! Thanks for reading my little rant. I'm not mad at anyone, it just hurts to read the comments I receive sometimes. Thanks for understanding ❤️

~Run away; it was a powerful instinct~

Kyros never took very long on hunting, which is why he felt confident in leaving Posie alone. For one, he wasn't very far away so he could catch her scent easily. Two, she had a unique scent, so that made her smell even more easy to find. And three, she was injured. She couldn't go very far very quickly. He'd always be able to find her. Unfortunately, that meant others could potentially find her too.

Posie ventured away and down the mountain the village sat on top of. Though she was busy escaping and desperately trying to think of a way back to earth, she couldn't help but appreciate the beauty of the planet she was currently on.

To get back to the pod, meant going back through the jungle. The desert should be just on the other side of that. The plants in the jungle seemed dance and sway as if they were floating, despite there being no wind. She stumbled on a rather large flower, the stem of it wider than her wrist, the flowerhead itself bigger than a dinner plate. The middle was a dark purple and the pedals at the base grew from a deep shade of blue, to orange, to pink, to yellow- like a sunset would.

It was rather enticing, so much so, it stopped her in her tracks. As she stood and caught her breath, she spun around to ensure she wasn't being followed. Confident she was alone, she stepped closer to the flower. It was rather tall, the top of it just a little higher than her.

With a steady hand, she reached out to touch it.

She scrambled away and screamed as from the flower came a furious looking Kyros. He came charging at her at an inhuman speed, tackling her in a bear hug to restrain her. "Let me go!" She screamed at the top of her lungs as she hit and clawed his skin.

Her weak nails had no effect on his tough skin and even hurt her when she racked her nails down his scales. She twisted and flailed all she could to get away, but no avail. He let her go on his own.

She stumbled backwards, nearly tripping over her own feet. When he reached out to steady her, she slapped him away, and he let her. "No, stay away from me! I'm going home!"

He ducked his head in a wince and raised a hand to shush her. "No safe." He told her, quietly. He pointed to the flower behind him and to the jungle around them. "No safe." He said again.

He didn't know how to communicate it any other way. The flower that she nearly just touched could have her paralyzed and possibly dead in minutes. It was designed to draw you in, captivate you enough to touch it. The jungle itself had so many more plants similar to it and creatures hidden in plain sight.

Her breath caught in her throat as he stared at her with those haunting eyes, their dinner in his bloodied and clawed hands. Her eyes fell to where he touched her and bile rose in her throat at the sight- their dinner's blue blood was smeared all over her skin. She took a unsteady step backward and he did nothing- just watched her. "Please," she started, weakly. "I know you don't understand, but just let me go. I need to go home."

"Home!" He nodded enthusiastically, gesturing for her to follow him. "Yes, home!"

Unfortunately, he was gesturing the wrong way, back to his home. She shook her head and pointed her herself, then in the direction she was going. "Posie's home."
