Carla's POV
4 years ago...
"The view is beautiful," I say, looking beyond the oak tree. I contemplate running off but I know Kyle will catch me.
'I should've started working out.'
I stifle a laugh.
"Enjoying this moment," Kyle says, "I know it's stuffy in the house and we haven't been able to hang out a lot."
"I wish it were longer"
I liked the feeling of Kyle not being there. He's become very... Possessive. It's like he is trying to separate me from everyone outside.
"Thanks for this," I smile looking out while holding the waterfall daring to escape," I really needed this."
The view really was magnificent. The quietness of the woods below. The freedom of animals. It was like a dream. Freedom is a dream for me. Something I don't think I'll ever be able to grasp ever again. I'm slowly spiralling into insanity in this relationship. Kyle drives me mad with all his aggressive demands. I don't feel loved anymore but controlled like a possession. But yet whenever I get a call or visit from my mum or Jordan, I sound like a robot. It's scary. I wanna tell them I'm scared but it's like I'm not programmed to do that. I'm all alone in this world. All these sleepless nights have me choking back tears as Kyle tightly holds me in his arms at bedtime.
"I wanna give you something." I jump out of thought.
"What?" I smile.
He shuffles in his spot looking for the very 'something'. Pulling out a box, he looks at me lovingly. I take it off his hands and open it.
"It's beautiful Kyle!" It was expensive as well.
"I got diamonds to cause you are a diamond." He winks
"Your so corny," cringing at his sudden phrase. Quickly, I put the necklace on and look into Kyle's eyes.
"How does it look?"
"Beautiful" Kyle leans in and pecks my lips," I love you so much."
"Thank you" I look out at the view one more time for a final peek at freedom," I love you too."
