Chapter 7: THEIF!

Last Chapter:
I look up to see Sun caught me, he placed on hand behind my waist and one on the back of my head. Sun's face was inches away from mine. My face turned bright red in an instant and so did his.

"Ahem...?" Someone cleared their throat beside us.

I looked up to see-

"M-Moon?" I asked dazed by the situation all together

Moon cleared his throat again. "Really? In front of the kids?" He asked.

"Moony it.. it's not what you think!" Sun protested as he lifted me back up to my feet.

"Uh huh... It looks like you two were about to go all out" Moon said unamused.

Sun began to protest his innocence while I tell the kids they can go play now. I clean up the wrappers from the kid who didn't clean up. As I did so I could still hear Sun and Moon arguing. 'I'm sure it looked bac from Moon's perspective but it was just an accident, right?'
Usually the kids would run into the play structures and play in their groups but they sat down, spread in small groups. It was so silent that you could hear the Daycare jingle, and Sun and Moon arguing. The kids were obviously still waking up. 'I wonder if its normal for them to be this tired. I can't tell'

Then I got an idea. I walked up to Sun, who had bells around his wrists for blind children, to get the kids attention.

"The kids seem a bit down. I have an idea to get the kids energized again. I need your help though" I said.

 He looked confused and I could see Moon was equal confused as well. Sun shrugged and started jingling the bells while asking the kids to come to the front. Once all the kids gathered around I stepped up.

"I'm sure you're all very tired from your nap. So how about a warm up game of hide an seek?" I asked the children.

They all lit up with anticipation and began talking amongst each other on how fun the game would be and where they would hide. I began to speak over them.

"The seekers will be Sun, Moon, then me. All you kids have to do is hide" I explained.

The kids quickly got up and seemed to be more awake now.

"Sun is the seeker first and will count to 40, the rest of us will have to hide" I said once more.

"You got a mental note on how many kids we have?" I whispered to Sun.

"Mhm!" Sun replied.

"Good, start counting, Sunny!" I said as I clapped my hands.

Sunny covered his eyes with his hands and started counting loudly, making sure all the kids heard him. The kids scattered all over the place, I watched as some hid in the play structure and ball pit. I was about to run off into the play structure but Moon grabbed my hand.

"Hey what's-"
"Shh, if you're too loud he'll know where to start looking" Moon cut me off as we made our way to the ball pit.

Moon and I ran past the ball pit and hid into foam towers in the back of the ball pit. The tower we hid in was slightly below the balcony Sun showed me earlier.

"Sun is simple minded, he'll look in the obvious places first and the obvious hiding place is the play structures." Moon explained me.

The tower had a slope that spiraled up to the top. Moon and I hid in between the top and the bottom. We stayed there for a bit while we heard Sun finding kids left and right.
