Chapter 8: Drama

Last Chapter:

I was about to start counting when someone barged into the Daycare. I heard a commotion from whoever was at the door. I heard running feet coming towards me and someone pulling on my hair. Whoever pulled my hair pulled with such a force they dragged me down to the floor. I lay on my side while looking up to my assaulter. I couldn't see clearly because of the Daycare lights so I brought my hand up to block them and squinted to see.

'Is that-'

"THIEF!"

"Wh- Carley?"

She looked surprised I knew her name, "You stole from me!" She insisted.

"I didn't do anything!" I yelled back, getting back on my feet. 'I'm so ready to roast the hell out of her' I opened my mouth to speak but she cut me off.

"Don't come near me! You assaulted me earlier" Carley screamed at me.

"What? No, I didn't!" I tried proclaiming my innocence.

Carley stomped towards me and I thought she was going to yell at my face. I was surprised to see her grab my hair and pulling me to the floor. I grabbed her arms and tried yanking her off, but the pain I felt from hitting my head three times and Carley pulling was too much.

"Get off me!" I yelled.

Carley and I were pulled away from each other by Sun and Moon. I looked up to see Moon holding me. I immediately  and felt safer.

"Sun, go take the children to the arts and crafts, Y/n won't be able to help since they'll be busy. I'll take care of this" Moon sounded pissed.

'Hah! Carley messed up big time!'

Moon let go of me and I rubbed my head, I felt the faintest headache starting to form. Carley, at this point, had started sobbing about how she "got assaulted" by me and I was "such a rude brat". I simply rolled my eyes at her.

Moon moved us outside of the Daycare so the kids wouldn't see this mess. Carley took a while to calm down before explaining her side of the story. 

"I was working in the kitchen like usual when they!" Carley pointed at me "Came in looking for something. I recognized the Daycare manager uniform and brought the snack box to them. They were so rude, not even giving me a please or thank you. And when I asked 'hey where's my thank you?' they got mad and lunged at me!" Carley finished, sobbing once more.

"You mentioned a stolen item?" Moon asked in a concerned tone.

"Th-they stole my inhaler" Carley said, looking around the room nervously.

Moon walked over to Carley and placed his hands on her shoulders as she wept into her hands. Moon looked at Carley with a sadness in his eyes.

"What? Bullshit I didn't even know you hand an inhaler. Plus why would I steal that?" I gave an angry sigh as I crossed my arms.

Moon looked up at me with a furious look.

"Y/n please, take this seriously" Moon said.

'Is Moon seriously taking her side? She's obviously lying how could he..... Moon didn't even use the nickname he gave me earlier...'

"I'll... I'll call security on you, Y/n! You'll get fired" Carley said in between sobs.

"No wait, there's no need. We can go to one of the security offices and look at the footages" Moon said in a panic.

"Seriously? Let her call security, I didn't steal anything" I said, 'I'm offended'.

"I'm trying to save your ass, do you want to get fired? You'll get in deep shit if you get security called on you" Moon said "If you don't want that I suggest you keep. you. mouth. shut. y/n"

I felt my heart sink, Moon looked so infuriated at me it broke my heart. 'Why doesn't he believe me? Why did his mood switch from flirty to pure rage?' I was pulled from my sorrowful thoughts.

"Y/n, I have to search your pockets, if I don't find anything we can go to security to clear everything up" Moon said stern-fully, walking towards me.

"I didn't steal anything" I protested.

"I have to check. Carley is fully prepared to get security called and drag you out of here." Moon put his hands on my shoulders.

I looked away from Moon and to the floor. I sighed and nodded. Moon checked all of my pockets, there weren't much so it didn't take long. Once Moon was done he turned to Carley who was watching intently. 

"Y/n doesn't have your inhaler" Moon said with a hint of relief in his voice.

"What?! I know they stole it! It didn't just grow legs and walk away, I had it last when they came into the kitchen. Where else would it be?" Carley seemed bewildered. 

"Obviously you forgot it somewhere, it's not my fault you lost it" I said.
I immediately regretted it as I saw Moon look angrily at me from my peripherals.   

"We'll figure this out, but for now I got to tell Sunny where we're going." Moon looked at his watch, "I have until 6pm before my shift gets back."

Moon opened the Daycare doors and left to go to with Sun.

'Sun... I told Sun about the incident! Maybe Sun can put in a word for me? No... I'll only clear my name with video evidence' I pondered.

"What the hell is your problem with me?" I asked Carley.

"Me? My problem is that you need to learn manners. Like, how dare you enter my workspace and bring your filthy negativity with you. I am the nicest person ever and you took advantage of me. I'm too good to be ignored" Carley scoffed at me.

"This is all over a fucking 'please' and 'thank you'? How low can you get? And what about the inhaler? Why would I steal something so specific?" I asked dumfounded.

"Duh, you're jealous of me? It's written all over your face, you wish you could be as good looking as me." Carley got close to my face "Good luck finding that inhaler" she said in a threatening tone.

'What does that mean? What?' I squinted my eyes at her in confusion and anger. 'What a bitch! I should smack the hell out of her', I put my hands into fists.

The Daycare door opened and Carley scooted away from me, she began fake crying.

"Right, lets get to the security office and clear your name, Y/n" Moon said, not even looking at me. 

I felt my headache growing worse.
