Jackson's POV

I was sitting at the baseball looking at everyone then once again my gaze landed on Luna. Since she got back she's had this glow and I can't keep my eyes off of her.

'Come on guys!' Lexie shouts knocking me out of my gaze.

I notice Mark and a certain eye doctor were making out. It had hit me since Luna left that maybe we were using each other to get over them. Lexie and Mark spent more time together when Luna was away than he got a girlfriend and Lexie was with me constantly.

'Come on he's happy to leave him be. I'm happy, We are happy. Aren't we?' I ask her.

'Yeah super happy' she says. Her face said otherwise.

'Let's play! Come on' She shouted again.

Throughout the game, I had kept on taking sneaky glances at Luna from across the pitch. She was talking to Henry which was Teddy's husband.

The game was going horribly. Meredith and Christina were drunk. Lexie was getting annoyed at anything Mark and his girlfriend were doing. And we just weren't good at all.

'Bring it in! Huddle Up. Alright.' Owen shouted.

Drawing my attention back to Luna.

'I just want to say how proud I am of all of you. You are an incredible team. I've watched you all work together and solve problems together. I have watched you teach each other and also learn from each other. You step up when you need to and you do more than anyone asks you to do'

I look at lexie who is so obviously staring at Mark. Then I look back at Luna who is so very much taking in everything mark is saying.

'You are the finest team I have ever been a part of.'

'My god!' Mark adds in.

'What are you talking about?' Callie also interrupts.

'That's sad!' Karev says.

'Beautiful' Bailey adds in as well.

'You don't think we have a shot at winning right?' Luna asks.

'What? This? No. No. We are Screwed. You are all horrible at baseball but what you are is great doctors. And I'm proud to lead you. but you are all here so I'd thought I'd say it. And we are gonna go down but we will go down fighting okay?' he ends his inspiring speech by saying.

'Yes'

'Yahh'

'Okay One, Two, Three. Go, Team!' We all chant together.

'Yes let's go, team'

'Go Lexie!' I shout.

I look around to see Mark and Julia together knowing that will indeed throw lexie off.

'Come on my grandma can pitch better than that' Julia shouts.

Then suddenly lexie had thrown the ball at her.

'Come on hunt keep your players in line'

'How are we supposed to play we are down a player?'

'Are you forgetting?' Owen asks.

We had won the game. But something wasn't right. Lexie still loved Mark and I still had feelings for Luna.

'Do you think shell be okay?' Lexie asks the group.

We were sat drinking celebrating our win.
'Yeah, she's in good hands.' Callie jokingly says.
'Okay, guys we are gonna go because Sofia is with the sitter and we need alone time.' Arizona says before leaving.

Luna's POV

I was sat next to Alex after winning the baseball game.

'Have you heard anything about Zola?' I ask Meredith and Derek.
'No, not yet but it's late so' She answers.
'It's fine. We will hear tomorrow' Derek says before reaching out his hand to Meredith to leave.
'I'm sorry Mer' Alex says again.

It was just me April, Alex, Lexie and Jackson sitting on the seats now.
And I could hear Jackson and Lexie arguing.
'Okay, April let's get you home.' I say making her get up.
'Uh, Luna is it okay if I get a lift with you?' Jackson asks.
'Yeah, that's fine. Lexie or Alex, you need a lift?'
'Both of our Cars are over there so see you back at the house?' Lexie says going up to Jackson kissing him then walking away.

This was the first time I and Jackson had been alone in months and it was awkward. April was asleep in the backseat and there was nothing but silence filling the car.

'Have you um picked a speciality yet?'

'Um not yet I'm thinking about getting double board-certified but I don't know in what yet' I say.
'Ha You know Luna I always thought you'd go into Peds and Cardio you've got the heart for Peds but the determination for Cardio. And it means you'll be changing a lot of lives' He says.
'Thank you, I can guess your speciality'
'Go on then guess?'
'Plastics but your gonna get double board-certified with ENT. Like Mark'

Looking at him and his little smirk.

'Okay, Luna you got it right!... You know this I nice, being able to talk and just be friends. It's nice' Jackson says looking at me.

'Soo you and Lexie? You seem happy.'

I catch his face kind of drop when I bring up lexie.

'Yeah, we were I mean we are. Just busy with Work and things getting in the way.'

'You mean Mark?'

'I wouldn't say he's getting in my way'

'But Lexie? Sorry, I um notice things and while you were looking at her she was always looking at Mark so.'

'You noticed me looking at her?'

'Well not trying to seem like I'm constantly looking at you but I notice when I look over at you. Like when the group is talking I look to you to see what your thinking then Derek then Meredith so yeah'

'You know something I always wondered?' Jackson asks looking at me when I'm pulling up to the house.

'What?' I answer.

'Why you and Sloan never got together. I mean me and Lexie saw you come out that On-Call room and you looked like you were together. Just confused why you two weren't ever together?'

'You thought me and Mark were together? No, No, No. Me and Mark we have a past like five years ago now. And it was just. You know what, me and Mark are family so yeah. it's complicated but we are family, we were being there for each other.' I say turning off the car.

'So you and Sloan weren't together in that On-call room?'

'No, we haven't slept together in 4 years

'Oh, so I completely judged that wrong.'

'You did indeed now please let's go in. I don't want to keep April in my car all night and I have an early start.' I tell Jackson getting out of the car.

Looking at Jackson and everything that's happened I'm happy to be able to talk with him without the feelings. It feels like we are meant to be friends after all.
