Hey Guys

I know it's been a while but I have been so busy with studies, I tried to make it long, I hope you like it. Also check out the image of Nicole played by Mae Whitman and the song Let me go by Avril Lavigne.

Chapter Sixteen: Soul

It took me an hour to convince my dad to let me go back to the store to return the book. He asked me why it matters, it was very unlikely for me to see the book keeper again, I hadn't told him about Mr. Daemon. After a few eye bats and puppy pouty faces I won, but Ian had to drop me off.

"Are you sure you don't want me to come in with you?" Ian asked as I opened the door to exit the car.

"It's a book store not the temple of doom" I said making him chuckle.

"Alright, call me when you need a ride back, alright" I nodded. It was his day off and he was going to spend it with me but I convinced him to spend it with Amber.

I felt bad for getting between them; whenever he wasn't working he was with me. Amber had called me a few times since I got home and we talked, unlike Kate who spent the day in her room, which I didn't mind really, when she was around it was awkward.

There were a few people on the streets it was just past three, I couldn't help but feel their stares, on my way to the store, a few waved and smiled at me, I smiled but not really knowing who they were but did it out of politeness. When I got to the store I found it was closed. Then I remembered he said he wouldn't open it until he had finished, but he did tell me to visit.

I let out a sigh. Going round the corner to my luck I found him coming out a fenced area, he looked up as if feeling my presence and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back and make my way to him.

He was wearing a checked shirt with blue jeans, he looked young, i could not tell he was a teacher.

"Hey" He greeted me.

"Hey" I replied back. "You put your book in my bag" I said taking it out and handing it to him. He went to get it and our fingers brushed making that familiar feeling flow through.

"I was wondering what I did with this" I couldn't help but feel disappointment when I realized he didn't use it to get me to come back. Well Duh. My subconscious slapped me.

"Do you want to come in?" he asked. "I've done quite a bit and would love to show someone" he said giving me a full smile, making him look quite young. I nodded and he let me to the fenced opening the door slightly.

It was like a little secret garden.

"Did you do this?" I asked. It was a small open space area, but it was filled with beautiful rose bushes and 4 little tables with chairs and umbrellas that could hold two people to sit and drink tea or eat cakes, or both. In the center was a tiny stature of an angel in a praying position. The walls had little lights unlit, probably for night openings.

"I want to say yes in order to impress you but I would be lying, I hired people" he said chuckling at my reaction. I turned away from the beautiful secret garden. "Shall we go in" he gestured to the open double glass doors. I nodded eager to see the inside.
