Chapter 2: Sudden Thought

Jim: "C'mon Y/N, catch up!"

I roll my eyes as Jim increases his speed on his bike. I eventually do the same to catch up to him.

Jim: "I gotta tell Tobes!"

Jim was ecstatic to tell Toby about his discovery. He already showed me and talked about it for a while.

If only he knew I was the real Trollhunter.

Y/N: "Uh, Jim? Are we even allowed to just walk in?" Jim doesn't answer me as he drops his bike outside of the door and walks into the dentist's office.

"Okay then..." I say to myself before walking into the office.

Assistant: "Don't go in there, he's with a patient!"

Jim doesn't listen as he strolls into the room Toby is in.

"Sorry." I mouth before strolling in myself.

"Tobes!"

Toby: "Hey, Jim, Hey Y/N."

Y/N: "He-"

Jim: "Tobes! Tobes, Tobes, Tobes, Tobes! I have got to talk to you!"

Toby speaks incoherently. "Uhh, eyem aye witto bithee white now."

Jim: "What?"

Dentist: "He says he's a little busy right now."

"...Okay, remember that thing we found the other day? In the canals. The thing with the gem and stuff? It works. It works like crazy!" I widen my eyes, wondering how Jim can just suddenly say something like that in public.

"Thwiss can't whayte, mehn?"

Y/N & Jim: "What?"

Dentist: "He says, 'This can't wait, man?'"

Jim: "I've already waited until morning. Who goes to the dentist two days in a row?"

Toby: "My mouf is like a city engineering pwojekt."

I sigh. "How much longer is this going to take?" I ask impatiently.

- 8 Hours Later -

Now nighttime, you, Jim, and Toby are at Jim's house.

Jim: "Eight hours! I can't believe it takes eight hours!"

Toby: "Two molars, plus insertions, and some cleanup..."

You facepalm.

Jim: "Okay, Tobes. You are never going to believe this."

"My mouth still feels sore..."

Y/N: "Toby, look."

Toby: "Do you have any aspirin?"

"Tobes, pay attention."

Jim takes out the amulet. "For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to-"

DING!

He's cut off by Toby taking a slice of pizza out of the microwave.

Y/N: "Really, Toby?"

Toby: "Go on..."

Jim: "It worked last night..."

"Are you punking me right now?"

Jim: "Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait..." Jim takes a deep breath.

The amulet activates and equips the Trollhunter armor!

Toby: "HOLY CHAMPIGNON!"

Jim: "How cool is that?"
