Chapter 6: Assassination Turned Seduction Mission (Part 1)

A week with Hidan was hell, according to Sakura that is. "So what happened to Hidan again? How did he got chopped up?" Konan asked as she sat on Sakura's bed.

"He was sleep-sacrificing so I tore off his limbs and his head. Thankfully I managed to track the target and get the money." Sakura said as if it was a normal thing to do.

Konan bursted out laughing. Again. Sakura heard Hidan howl in pain and say that it's Jashin-sama's blessing. Again. Kakuzu is complaining about Hidan always falling apart. Again.

"Nobody warned you about Hidan's sleep-sacrificing?" Konan said, still laughing. Sakura pouted and said "Nobody! No wonder no one wants to volunteer."

"Oh! I heard Pein wants to see you for another mission again. But don't worry, I don't think it'll be with Hidan this time." Konan said, grinning.

Sakura sighed in defeat and immediately went to Pein's office. Sakura knocked three time and heard a come in.

"You called, Leader-sama?" Sakura asked, bowing. "Aah, Sakura. Sorry to send you off to another mission as soon as you got back. But this time, it's with someone normal." Pein said with a reassuring look.

"Hai, leader-sama. What is the mission?" Sakura asked. "An assassination mission. Your target it Orikawa Shiraku from the rice village. And you'll be with Itachi." Pein said.

"Aah, completely normal. Besides the fact that he's a living robot." Sakura said with an impassive face. Pein held a muffled laugh and dismissed Sakura.

Sakura knocked on Itachi's door to inform him about the mission. The door opened to reveal an already packed Itachi. "Hn." Itachi said as they went out the base.

They ran towards rice village. The run was silent for hours. They were running until night fell. Somehow, Itachi gained information that he target is in a bar, unguarded.
