024. DANCE PRACTICE

Chapter twenty four
"Dance practice."

During free period the next day Tory had talked to Ryan and told him that instead of one of his exercise's as a warm up that they should start off with something a little bit more fun as the two ran onto the stage where all the background dances already were the band began playing the song Tory had asked for as her and Ryan stood the two began to clap to the beat as everyone joined them as Tory began to sing.

"Before I was born late one night

My papa said everything's alright."

Ryan then began to dance next to her as Tory joined him both of them doing the hand jive as Ryan the moved showing a few of the backup dancers how to do it as they copied him as Tory moved to the right showing the others.

"The doctor paid, my Mama laid down
With her stomach bouncing all around."

She sang as her and Ryan then moved back to the middle as everyone continued dancing as everyone turned to a partner.

"'Cause the beebop stork was about to arrive
Mama gave birth to a hand-jive."

Then everyone switched places as Martha ran up to Tory, the two of them sang and danced together while the others danced as well.

"I could barely walk when I milked a cow
When I was three I pushed a plow."

Then Ryan looked to Jason and Zeke pushing them towards Tory as Zeke went up to her first.

"While chopping wood I moved my legs."

He sang as he danced, Tory joined him along with Martha as Jason slightly joined in.

"And they saw me dance when I gathered eggs."

Zeke sang as he picked up Tory and spun her around as he then put her back on the floor, Jason grabbed Marthas hand and spun her around as Martha and Jason began singing together as they danced around.

"The townfolk clapped, I was only five
Out-dance 'em all, he was born to hand-jive!"

In which Tory grabbed Zeke bringing him away as they all then began to clap together again to the beat as they did the handjive, Tory then began to sing.

"Oh yeah, yeah, yeah - everybody."

As they all then began to handjive again as Tory and everyone else sang together.

"Born to hand-jive, baby
Born to hand-jive, baby."

Then it turned into solo dances as everyone else moved out of the way a duo of backup dancers went up first together as they did a cool spin and cartwheel move as Martha then went up with Jason as the two did a cool jig as they spun around. Then they all were clapping and doing the hand jive again as Tory sang

"How low can you go?"

In which they all began moving lower to the ground as Martha than sang.

"How low can you go?"

As Jason then sang.

"How low can you go?"

And then Zeke sang.

"How low can you go?"

As they all were almost or on the floor they all laughed as they got back up as Ryan sang

"Higher!

Higher!"

As Tory did a flip landing on her own two feet as Martha sang
