A month and a half passed by without anything eventful happening at all. We decided that it'll be better if we just focused on school and ourselves for the time being and postpone any outings at least until after finals.

Ever since that day, Lara's been sleeping over at my place. I gave her the guest room and decided to man up and clean out my room. It's been a while since I went inside because all it did was bring back unwanted memories, but since I wasn't ready to reveal that part of my life yet, I moved out of that room before I offered her to stay with me. During my cleaning spree, I found a lot of photo albums and assignments that I used to work with Hunter on. So many little gifts my parents got me from the base and from their countless travels. A little ukulele from when they went to Hawaii, a small tower of Pisa from their trip to Italy, a documentary book about Jack the Ripper, a few Agatha Christie novels and a few souvenirs from different museums they went to without us. They always made sure to remember us wherever they went. The first fifteen years of my life are ones I will always cherish because I would have never been the person I am now without the love, dedication, and devotion they showed me. I open the little attic area on the upper left side of my room and shove all these pictures. I make sure that they're sitting safely and securely, but also aren't blocking the view of my other more serious stuff.  I go back to my bed, and try to sleep for a few hours

Everyday, she made me do things I never would do otherwise. Like who the hell goes out running at the crack of dawn - in the middle of winter mind you. But ever since she's been here, we've been doing that nonstop. We go on bi-weekly trips to the convenience store and get us actual food  since apparently she loves cooking. It's been working out great because4 I happen to love eating. She helps me out with school and once I gave her my essay to write and she almost failed me; so never again. Today is the first week of finals and I messaged Axel asking for time off. Forensic Pathology, Forensic Psychology and Investigations and Eye Witnesses are a going to be a huge part of the next two weeks of my life, but it is one step closer to being a Forensic Investigator. Watching CSI and every single police drama prepared me a lot. Don't let them tell you otherwise, TV stuff actually helps.

I opened my calendar to today: Saturday, December 4, 2021 @ 07:45am and I jotted down everything I needed to do today and for the next week.

SGP's To-do list:

-watch the latest season of Cobra Kai

-Research the psychology of serial killers and their victims (Jeffrey Dahmer, The BTK Killer, The Hillside Strangler, Jack the Ripper)

-Finish essay on The Green River Killer

-Submit essay on Evidence and Tools in Fire Investigation

-Learn to cook dummy

At eight in the AM, I sat down at my study desk and took out my laptop. I opened a new word document and just stared at it.

"Hey! I'm going over to Toby's tomorrow for a few days to help move him to New York and I'll be back in a week." Lara stood at my door, leaning against the frame.

" What? You're abandoning me? Just when I thought we were friends man."

"You're such a drama queen. You  are going to be fine, you'll still be doing your finals - from the comfort of your home, might I add - and you won't even notice I'm gone!"

"Really? You think that I won't notice that my sleep schedule is better? Or that I'll be eating ramen for days?"

I'm going to miss our early, suicide jogs in this God awful weather.

Who am I kidding? No I won't.

"Girl don't worry. I stayed up all night cooking you enough food to last the next week and I froze it for you. Just please don't binge eat them in one day."
