"Mel, there are people...there are things out to get you."Evan says.

"W-what?"

Suddenly the power goes out, and Evan instantly grabs Melanie.

"It's just the fuse box, it happens all the time."Melanie says.

"You sure about that?"Evan asks, looking around.

There's a loud knock on the door and Melanie jumps again.

"Stay here."Evan demands.

Melanie leans back against the kitchen counter and Evan walks over to the front door.

Melanie huffs as she pulls out her phone. Instantly she sees a text, from the paramedic who had helped her days before.

- ready for dinner?

She smiles, blushing as she begins to text back.

- what's on the menu?

- whatever your heart desires:)

She blushes and chuckles.

- shall I pick you up?

Melanie looks up and towards the living room where Evan had been.

- sure..7?

- see you then

Evan enters the room with a huff.

"No one. I think we should go to my house."Evan says.

"Oh, well I have a date tonight, so could we go tomorrow?"Melanie asks.

"I don't think so, Mel."Evan huffs.

Melanie softens her eyes and then pouts a bit, instantly making Evan groan.

"Who is this date with?"he asks.

"A special someone. The most handsome special someone I've ever seen. It's like he was pulled straight out of my romance novels."Melanie smiles a bit.

"Wow. "Evan huffs, looking at his palms.

"Well...I guess you could use a distraction."Evan says, immediately regretting the words leaving his mouth.

Melanie shouts with excitement and then kisses his cheek. Then she runs into her room.

Evan groans and looks down at the Van Helsing tattoo on his wrist.

I smile as I see the beautiful limousine pulling up.

"That's him?"Evan asks.

"That's him."Melanie says, dreamy eyed.

The driver, Jord, gets out of the car.

"I feel ridiculous."Jord says in his chauffeur outfit.

"And you look equally as ridiculous. Perfect. Go get her."Vlad says from inside the car.

Jord huffs, walking up to the door and knocking 3 times. The door opens, and Melanie steps out.

"Melanie?"Jord questions, offering his hand.

"Yes."she smiles as Evan steps behind her.

Jord's eyes instantly snap to the Van Helsing spawn.

"Evan Van Helsing."he says, offering a handshake.
