"I see you and Milo aren't on good terms." Cynthia looked at me as I help her prepare dinner in her kitchen.

"It's nothing." I shrugged not really wanting to talk about it.

"It has to be something if y'all haven't really spoken since the baby shower. Do y'all lay in the bed and be silent?"

"Pretty much." I told her.

We truly have barley spoken even though we sleep together every night, I don't say nothing to him and he doesn't either.

I'm not mad at him, I just don't wanna talk. I'm not over the whole thing yet and being pregnant makes me ten times more emotional so I can't control how I feel.

"Did he do something to you? Did he cheat? Cause I'll tell his ass about his self if—

"He didn't cheat... He did something before we were together and it might sound crazy cause like I said we weren't together— but i just feel a way about it."

"Chile you can just tell me, you know? I ain't going to run it back to nobody."

I sighed and looked up at her, "He use to talk to my cousin and I feel like he should've told me. She was being funny about it at the baby shower while I was looking like a fool...I wouldn't be as mad had I known before she got the chance to just throw it out there and shock me, especially on that day."

"When did he find out y'all were cousins?"

"At the baby shower."

"So Jilly he probably didn't want to ruin your day. I'm not taking his side because I'm not one of those momma's who thinks her son is a saint and never in the wrong— but in this situation, he's not the bad guy...Your cousin is for bringing it up at that moment."

"I know and that's why I'm not mad at him...I'm just mad that it happened."

"I can understand that and there's nothing wrong with feeling how you feel."

The front door opened and Milo walked in with his brother.

"Wassup Ma." He walked right passed me and over to her.

"You don't see her?" She nodded over towards me.

Me and him made eye contact and broke it right away.

"Hello."

"Hi."

"Uhn uhn, what the hell is that?" She looked back and forth between us.

"She don't wanna talk and I ain't gone keep trying." He shrugged.

"Good." I rolled my eyes.

"You have to understand why she's like this Milo. She's hurt about something and she's reacting based off that."

"Well how long she gone react? It's been a week...Get over it."

"Don't tell me when to 'get over' something."

"I ain't kissing ass."

"I didn't ask you to and I don't want you to so you can just leave me alone like you been doing."

"Fine with me." He said before leaving out the door.

"Milo get back in here!" She called after him but he didn't come back.

"Y'all going to have to make up because stress isn't good for you or the baby Jilly." She told me.

Who said I was stressing his bitch ass?

"I be so bored without you Jilly. I can't believe a man done took my baby from me." My mama said while we were on FaceTime.

"Girl." I laughed, "When I was there you ain't even pay me no mind."

"Cause you were annoying, I didn't even think I would miss you until you were gone."

"Wow...that's how you felt bout me all along?"

"Sure enough."

"Where are you going?" I looked in the camera and seen her walking out to the car.

"To see my sneaky link."

"Ew." I scrunched my face up, "You too old to be even thinking about a sneaky link."

"Chile sneaky linking is how—"

She took a long pause making me look at the screen.

"Ma?" I seen this really weird and indescribable look on her face as she stared out the car window.

"Ma?!" I said again starting to get confused and worried.

"Jilly?" She called my name.

"Yeah? What's wrong?"

"I love you."

Before you know it, it was glass shattering and multiple gun shots firing.

Y'all i think something is missing out this book! Things that I definitely wrote not even in the chapters i put them in, I reread all of em and can't find stuff that's pose to be there.

Did y'all know who Cynthia was before this chapter? Did y'all read when Jilly met her? Bc I don't see it
