"Awww my precious precious grandbaby! Aren't you just the cutest little thing ever!" Cynthia beamed with excitement as she rocked back and forth with her two week old first and only granddaughter— Masami.

Jilly and Milo watched the interaction from the living room in Jilly's home which she was finally able to get settled into.

Despite the fact that it was difficult doing so with a new born baby plus recovering from a gun shot wound, she had the most supportive people around her to help...

The two weeks since she gave birth had been the most amazing two weeks of her life! Masami was the most peaceful baby a person could ask for, she gave Jilly the missing piece to her heart.

Milo had been back and forth between his house and Jilly's. If it was up to him, he would just have them come stay with him but that wasn't possible with Neliah there.

Milo had yet to tell Jilly about her and he was dreading it knowing the two already didn't care for eachother— but it was just something they would both have to accept.

Nevertheless, Milo actually enjoyed staying with by Jilly rather than being home sometimes, all Neliah would do is complain and start arguments about him cheating on her with Jilly. The nagging was beyond frustrating to him especially when all he wanted to do is genuinely enjoy time with his baby girl.

"How you feeling?" Milo questioned Jilly who just shrugged. She didn't really know how she was feeling, she was happy but empty.

"I'm okay, i guess, long as I got her." She kept her eyes on Masami as she responded. "You?"

"Same shit.. She my only peace right now." That was something they both could agree on.

"You know Harmony been wanting to talk to you." He told her, Harmony had been calling him nonstop trying to get his help with contacting Jilly.

She changed her number and disabled all her social medias, that way the only people with access to her was Cynthia and Milo.

Although what Harmony did didn't have that much of an impact on anything now, Jilly still felt like it was betrayal and was unsure if she wanted to get back close with her.

"How you know?" She looked over at him.

"She keep asking me to tell you to call her and forreal forrral, i think you should."

"I'm trying to be cautious about who I talk to and let into my life now."

"Harmony not a danger to you, everything she did was in your best interest whether you think so or not." He told her. "Ain't no telling how this would've turned out, if she didn't say anything."

"I'm more so mad that she didn't trust that I would handle it... That's the part that gets me... she fucked up a relationship with the person i needed the most during that time after all i was going through... Trust me i was going to tell you, it wasn't nobody else's place to do so just because i wasn't moving at their speed."

"You right but in her mind, she was just trynna help you.. It still ain't good for you to cut her out your life over something so petty, yall was close as hell.. I know you want her in Masami life.. Just talk to her."

"Okay." She dismissed the conversation— it was going to soon start to irritate her and she didn't want to let it get there.

"I'm about to head home though." Milo he stood to his feet, sliding his phone in his pocket.

"Are you going ever make room for her at your house? You know, so she can come stay with you some days?" Jilly brung up the conversation she's been wanting to have.

Their current situation wasn't too much of the two parent household she was imaging for their daughter, she actually hated it to be that way..

"Yeah." Milo swung his head side to side, deciding if it was time to have that conversation with her. "Since we talking about that.."

"Oh god." Jilly threw her head back against the couch. She didn't want any if's, and's, or but's and she wasn't about tolerate Milo having the easiest part of parenting by not taking care of Masami just as much as she does.

Milo sat back down and rubbed his hands together, "So you remember Neliah right? My ex? Well not any— yeah my ex." He kept his eyes on anything but her meanwhile she was staring him down.

She didn't respond to that which made him look over and see the scowl plastered across her face indicating she was already irritated by where this was going.

"Yeah what about her?" She finally spoke— clearing her throat with her arms folded.

"Me and her back talking so she staying over at my house— she don't live with me, she just be over there. I just wanted you to know that, but I don't got no problem with Masami being with me.. I would love that."

Jilly looked down as her eyes started to get teary but she fought the tears from falling, she remained quiet because she didn't really have anything to say.

"What's wrong?"

"It's cool with me— I just don't want her anywhere around her without you right there every-time. I mean that shit Milo! I'm not a bitter babymomma but I will turn to one so fast if you can't respect what i'm asking of you."

"I got you.. I ain't gone let that happen. Just give me a day to set up the room for her. Cool?"

She nodded her head. She didn't want to say anything more or else she might've started to cry— she wasn't expecting him to move on and especially not to the female he said not to worry about.

"I'll see you later." He spoke to her as he stood back up. She watched as he kissed Masami and Cynthia goodbye, before leaving.

Cynthia heard the conversation and could tell Jilly was a little hurt by what she had just been told. She came to sit down beside her— still holding a now sleeping Masami.

"You okay honey?"

"I will be." Jilly shrugged, "I have no choice but to be."

"You know it's fine if you're not though, right? You're human and you have emotions."

Jilly wiped her tears that had started to fall, she didn't want to cry, she wanted to be strong. She had it in her mind that nothing could get to her; but what she didn't know is that postpartum depression was slowly taking over and there was nothing she could do to stop that.

"Let out all the tears you want to Jilly, it'll get better, i'm here for you." Cynthia grabbed and held her hand. She truly liked and grew to even love Jilly, she was willing and ready to be the next mother figure in her life.

That only made her cry harder and lean on Cynthia's shoulder as she did so.. She truly needed this moment to let it all out!
