Despite telling herself that the date was platonic and friendly, her shower consisted of shaving her entire body head to toe. Every nook and every goddamn cranny. She made sure to cover herself in her most fancy lotions and doused herself in his favourite perfume of hers before she moved on to hair and makeup.

And boy, was that an even longer routine.

She kept her base light and dewy, darkening up her almond eyes a lot in thick kohl liner and putting on more mascara than usual. Her lips were dusted in a glossy neutral pinkish shade, and she placed long dangly heart shape earrings in her ears. They went perfectly with the rosy pink satin dress she dressed up in, it reached just above her mid-thigh.

The A-line style dress was a little on the shorter side but the satin hugged her body in a way it looked classy.

The neckline was square, pressing her boobs together nicely yet not too much. In between a thick and thin strap capped the dress seamlessly.

A perfect date night dress, she mused.

She stared at her reflection in her full-length mirror, grazing her hands over the luscious material.

Looking over at herself, she felt like she looked pretty. It wasn't doing the most, but it was doing enough.

Her smooth shapely legs were glistening in her body oil, her eyes going down to her neatly painted toes. She didn't bother to put any shoes on seeing as though she would be staying in and he was no stranger to her bare feet. They're small and cute just like you, he would always say. Small and cute.

She smiled at that, shaking her head. Speaking of which, her hair was left in its unruly curls. She only put some product in it to hold the tight ringlets, letting it part itself

Rubbing her lips together slightly, she made sure the gloss was even before she took one last look and then she was finally leaving her room.

She was sure near enough two hours had passed by when she made it downstairs.

Heath didn't seem to mind, secretly finding her long pamper session a blessing in disguise.

"Heath? I'm finally done." She called out, warning him in case he wanted her to wait. "Sorry for taking so long, I ended up spending way too long in the shower. That shower head is something else, alright..."

Pftt. Of course, she was kidding, she hadn't used the shower head for any other purpose other than to wash.

Her tongue poked the side of her cheek at the amusement that sketched into her features before she pushed her lips out.

She reached the bottom step and veered towards the dining area. As she headed for it, she caught sight of Otto in the living room staring intently at the television.

She figured Heath must've turned it on to entertain the pup and that made her want to awe out loud.

Fixing a hand through her curls, she continued to make it to the door but the second she went to push the door handle, she was stopped.

Heath was in the midst of locking the front door, turning around to rummage through one of his pockets to confirm it was still there. Check.

He cut her off, seeing her close in on his surprise. "Wait, wait. Gimme a second, I had to grab something from the car."

She frowned, snapping her head around to see the handsome man walking towards her from the opposite end.

The second he saw her, his gaze slowly dragged down her body and back up to her face where he let out a throaty deep groan. He couldn't help but stop in his tracks, staring wide-eyed at her.
