the morning sun cast a peaceful glow across the room as evelyn stirred awake. sam, still nestled beside her, had fallen into a peaceful slumber. the footballer's arm draped across the other's waist, and her head found a comfortable resting place on her chest. it was a sight that brought a delicate smile to evelyn's lips.

evelyn carefully freed herself from sam's embrace, shoving a pillow to replace her body. she quietly slipped out of bed, leaving the other in the warmth of the morning light, and made her way to the bathroom.

as she went through her usual morning routine, the events of the previous night replayed in her mind. there was a sense of familiarity in the air, but also an undercurrent of new beginnings. evelyn couldn't help but feel a quiet excitement, a subtle anticipation of what lay ahead.

after freshening up, the singer returned to the bedroom to find sam still in bed, blinking away the last remnants of sleep. "good morning," the other greeted, her voice slightly raspy from her half-awake state.

evelyn smiled in response, sitting down on the corner of the bed. the striker immediately returned her arm around the girl. "morning. i've been up for a bit. i should probably get started on breakfast."

sam's reluctance to let her go was evident, and she tightened her grip around the other's waist. "can't you stay a little longer?" she murmured, her voice laden with a hint of playfulness.

the singer chuckled, gently prying herself from sam's hold. "as tempting as that sounds, i'm really hungry. i'll be quick," she assured.

heading to the kitchen, evelyn couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. the domesticity of the situation felt surreal yet comforting. she began preparing breakfast, smiling to herself as she realised the situation of the two.

sam eventually joined her in the kitchen, looking effortlessly gorgeous even while looking half asleep. "what's on the menu?" she asked, a playful glint in her eyes.

evelyn grinned, "oh wow, you actually got up faster than i expected. help yourself to anything then."

as they sat across from each other, the singer couldn't help but appreciate the subtle shifts in the air. perhaps it was the promise of a new day, or maybe it was the quiet understanding that they were both ready to explore their relationship. regardless, in that moment, over a simple breakfast, she found herself embracing the possibility of what their shared future might hold.

between bites of food, sam looked across the table at evelyn with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "any exciting plans for today?"

the singer chuckled, setting down her fork. "well, i did have some things to take care of, but they're not as important as spending time with someone who just barged into my home uninvited."

the footballer feigned innocence, "uninvited? i was practically asked to stay."

evelyn rolled her eyes playfully. "fine, you caught me. but seriously, i had some errands and work to do. why do you ask?"

sam leaned back in her chair, a sly smile playing on her lips. "what if i told you those plans are cancelled?"

"cancelled? by whom?" the other raised an eyebrow, a mixture of curiosity and amusement evident on her face.

"by me," she declared with mock seriousness. "i'm taking over your schedule today. so, what's there to do around here?"

the singer blinked, momentarily taken aback by sam's audacity. "you can't just—"

"watch me," the footballer interrupted, grinning. "now, what's there to do? any local attractions, secret hideouts or something?"

evelyn sighed in faux defeat. "i hate to break it to you, but i'm pretty much stuck indoors. the paparazzi have developed this ability to sense my presence, and they're everywhere–especially now that i'm topping the charts. going out means risking a full-blown photo session."
