Betrayal

our eyes got locked when minahil snapped towards me with her gun aimed at me.

My world crumbled, I've so many questions still unanswered. My heart is burning like it's kept on fire. I feel like someone is snatching my share of air from a vaccum. immense agony drapes around ever corner of my heart.

" A- Arsalaan?" she says her voice shaky.

controlling the intense pain the scenario gives i clenched my jaw and straightened my face. My nose flaring with anger.

she lost the control to her gun dropping it to the ground, as I gazed down I could see her legs visibly shaking.

" arsal-l I can-n e-explain" she shuttered vulnerably. her eyes start to glisten up with thick tears. I looked away & scoffed.

" you will explain?" I mocked with another scoff. " you will be explaining ? do you even know how to do that ?" I laughed like a maniac this time, only if she knows how much hurt I'm right now. " all you know is to lie, you're better at it than any other thing" i completed.

i have no idea what to do right now, my mind is completely on pause and my heart, it's finding it hard to breathe. I might die due to such constriction of breathing.

" you know what mina, you're a fucking liar and it's not like I didn't expect it from you, I fucking did. I expected it already when I saw you so nervous and anxious at the mansion" I yelled angrily making her slightly move back.

" Arsalaan I-I" she shuttered not knowing what to say. All of her focus was on me along with her gun thrown on the ground.

As my eyes scanned the vast, open room, they landed on the man standing near us. However, we were too preoccupied to notice him. Suddenly, my gaze shifted to his palms, and I saw him holding a blade with a smirk on his face. My focus on Minahil had completely vanished.

I watched intently as the man brought the blade close to Minahil's waist. He stood behind her, taking advantage of her turned back. My jaws clenched & my hand bowled into a tight fist.

Just as he was about to harm her, I swiftly pulled Minahil away. She jerked slightly, but my attention remained fixed on him. Taking a few steps closer, I wasted no time and delivered a powerful punch to his face, causing blood to ooze out.

He flinched back holding his nose which was now bleeding. he was startled at my suddenness. he tried to compose himself and walk closer to me. He landed a hard punch on my stomach making me growl & hiss in pain.
