I sighed as Hades left for patrol, leaving me here alone until one AM. Melody was currently visiting her mother so I had no one else to hang with me.
It was peaceful today until that old Beta decided to visit. He attacked a group of warriors, killed two, but left the last one as his messenger. The thought sent chills up my spine at the thought of him. He's an evil man, he has done terrible things to Hades. I still don't know what he had done, but I was determined to find out sooner or later.
I got up and walked upstairs, maybe a shower could help me relax. I walked into my room and rubbed my arms, these damn goosebumps, I hate them. I sighed in annoyance at the goosebumps on my legs, I literally just shaved and now the hair will grow back quicker. Stupid little shits.
I snatched a towel and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind me. Once the water was warm enough I undressed and climbed in, sighing at the warmth.
I was soon able to relax, momentarily forgetting about my concern for Hades. I combed the shampoo through my hair, making sure I covered all of it.
I really hate having thick hair, I use two whole globs of shampoo each time. I should just buy twenty bottles and out them in the closet, better than buying a new bottle every week.
"Or get a damn haircut." My wolf grumbled.
"Oh, shut up, fluff ball." I retorted.

I chuckled as she stayed quiet, it's about time I win. I washed the shampoo out and then moved onto conditioner. Half way through I had a sudden feeling of dread wash over me, making me go on high alert. I quickly finished getting the conditioner out before shutting off the water and getting out. I wrapped my towel around me and slowly opened the bathroom door, poking my head out.
I saw no one, I couldn't smell anymore either. I sighed, maybe I'm just paranoid. I closed the door and finished getting dressed into pajamas, I then walked back out.
I locked the balcony doors just in case, didn't need anyone breaking in.
I stood in the center of the room, trying to decide on what to do. I groaned, can't my mind come up with something for once?
"CELINA!"
I furrowed my eyebrows and spun around as Hades threw the door open. His eyes were black with anger as he stalked over to me. He roughly grabbed my jaw and forced me to continue looking at him.
The sudden anger and pain had me panicking. The fear that I had buried and thought was gone had suddenly appeared. I clawed at his hands and tried screaming as tears ran down my face.
Hades let go, a flash of concern in his eyes, but the rage masked it.
I tumbled back and fell onto the ground, making the fear worse. It's like I couldn't think, I was just focused on not getting hit again.
"Why were you out in the forest with another man?" Hades spat.
I frowned, "Wh-what?"
"You were with another man!"
"N-no I-I w-wasn't...p-please just don't...h-hit me." I whimpered pathetically.
I know my touch could probably calm him down, but if the root of this episode is me, then how could it calm him down? Then I thought back to what he had said, did he see me in the forest?
How would he if I never left the house?
I was dragged from my thoughts as he knelt in front of me. He went to touch me, but snapped his hand back as I winced a bit.
Guilt clouded his eyes as he watched me, "I-I didn't...." He trailed off. "You never left the house."
At his statement I nodded, "N-no."
He clenched his jaw before running his hand through his hair. "Then Jackson's assumptions were right." He mumbled.
"H-his what?" I whispered, still scooting away from him.
He sighed, "Nothing, why don't you go to bed? I'll stay here so no one can get you."
He then frowned, "I'm sorry for scaring you."

I could see and hear the obvious pain he was feeling, but I still wanted to get away from him. I glanced at the bed, then at him. He frowned even more.
"You can sleep in the bed, I'll sleep in a guest room." He whispered before getting up.

He seems as if he wanes to help me up, but I quickly pulled myself up. He sighed and shook his head before walking out.
"Goodnight, Celina, I love you." He sounded before closing the door.
I stood there for a few seconds before murmuring, "Goodnight."

I had eventually calmed down and returned to my normal self, but sleeping wasn't on my mind once I did. I kept staring at the door, feeling slightly guilty for acting like that towards him. It's not my fault though, and he knows that. Looks like he's not the only one needing fixing.
For the next two hours I tried falling asleep, but without Hades here I couldn't get comfortable. I internally screamed before getting out of bed and storming towards the door. I'm just going to have to drag his ass in here.
I swung the door open and went to find him when I tripped over something. I quickly sat up to see Hades...sleeping. On the ground. In wolf form. His eyes snapped open and his ears pricked up as he saw me. He got up and sniffed me, checking for any injuries. Once he was happy he looked at me again before slowly backing up. His tail was between his legs and his head hung low in shame. He sat to the side and waited for me to go inside.
I frowned, "Hades, shift back."
He looked up, bewildered. He stared at me, but then shifted back.
His eyes were wet with unshed tears. They were filled to the brim with pain, guilt, and sorrow. I sighed before running my hand through my hair.
"I'm sorry for acting the way I did." I whispered.
He frowned, "You shouldn't be apologizing. I should...I should have listened to Jackson. I shouldn't have allowed my anger to take control like that. I hurt you again...maybe if you moved back with your pack, you'll be safer." He replied.
I looked up, "Safer from what?"
His face contorted into one of pain as he uttered the next word. "Me."

A/N: I know, this sucks. I'm sorry 😓 I'll make the next chapter worth it though 😊
