Chapter Eight

"And now I'm not allowed to go out the front door without two guards, can you believe that?" Elena finished looking at the girl in front of her, "Wait one more thing, what am I supposed to call you?"

"Uh.. Maybe El?"

"Ok so it's settled, I'm gonna call you El and you can call me Elena"

"Are you done?" Leo asked casually then said,"Do you think that I forgot about what you did last night" He stated as he glared at Elena

"What I did last night?" Elena repeated, "I didn't do anything"

"I go for one hour and when I get back I find that you're drunk after I specifically told you not to"

"Actually you specifically told me not to let anyone buy me a drink and I didn't accept drinks from anybody. I bought myself a drink" Elena said smugly, knowing she was right and Leo can't do anything about it.

Before Leo can reply, they heard snickering beside them,

"I like her" El said then looked at Elena, "I've made my decision, you're now my new best friend"

"Of course you'll like her, she's just like you," Leo muttered, "Anyway, you didn't say what are you doing here"

El rolled her eyes and said, "I can't believe you'd forgotten about the Gala"

Realization passed Leo features and soon he grumbled, "You've got to be kidding me, it's this weak?"

"Actually it's tomorrow. I got here first, mom and dad will be here tomorrow for the preparations"

"And let me guess, you left your husband and Geo at the airport and came straight to visit me"

"They know their way home. Now, I have things to do so I'll see you tomorrow" El said then turned and looked at Elena, "It was nice meeting you__ wait why don't you come with Leo to the Gala as his date" El suggested causing Leo and Elena to scoff

"Yeah right"

"Immediately"

They said at the same time, then looked at each other

"So if I asked you to come with me, you won't agree?" Leo asked incredulously, his tone carried a hint of disbelief

Somewhat her answer angered him..

"Why do you sound so surprised? Did I hurt your ego Mr. Hot Shot?"

"Ok, I'll be going now, bye guys" Carlos waved at her then returned to watch the show in front of him

"Well I changed my mind, I want you to come with me and that's not a question, it's an order"

"I'll go with you__"

She didn't argue, that's a first. Leo thought

"__ In one condition"

Spoke too soon...

"You know, I can always drag you without your permission"

"That's right, but if you don't want me to cause troubles and if you don't want my bitch face to appear, I suggest you agree"

"What do you want?" Leo grumbled, shooting her a glare

"I wanna throw a party"

"Sometimes I can be slow and stupid, please repeat what you said" Leo said, looking at her like she lost her mind

Elena nodded her head, unaware of Leo's sarcasm.

"I wanna throw a party here"

"Here as in, here in the house?" Leo asked and Elena nodded again
