Chapter Fifteen

It's been a whole month since Elena got that message from Matthew and Leo made sure to keep her safe, he assigned four bodyguards to protect her wherever she went.

Her friends had long left and they promised to visit her every now and then.

She has been working at the company and practically knew every single worker in there.

Carlos' nagging about Leo liking Elena has increased along with his family as they started to convince him to make his first move before some guy tries and steal her away.

"I just wanna know why can't you admit it already? Everyone knows that you like Elena" Carlos wondered causing Leo to roll his eyes

"I don't like Elena, I just care about her as a friend"

"Yeah, I totally believe you. I wanna ask you a simple question, if you don't like her then you won't care about her being in a relationship with someone else, right?" Carlos' question made Leo's blood boil and his jaw clenched but before he can say anything, he got interrupted by a knock on the door of his office

"Come in"

Not a second later, Jessica, the receptionist of the ground floor, hurried in

"Good morning" She greeted Carlos and Leo who both nodded in return

"I just wanted to tell you that everything is going with the plan, Sir. Everyone had arrived, they're gathering in the ground floor, we brought all the equipments we need, the bus is here and we're just waiting for you to get going" Jessica rushed out in one breath

"What are you talking about?" Leo asked while Carlos pretended to look at the ceiling

"The camping trip. Did you forget about it, Sir?"

"What camping trip?"

"We have planned for this trip since last week" She replied, a confused look started to form on her face

"Oh! And when were you planning on telling me?" Leo's voice was surprisingly calm, probably that what made the woman terrified

"What?! You mean you don't know?! But Elena said th__"

"Of course it's Elena! What did she do this time?"

"She was the one who suggested the idea saying she had your approval already so we agreed and we started planning for the trip"

"Is that so? Get out and send Elena into my office immediately"

Once she was out, Leo sighed and Carlos snickered

"You knew about that already, right?" Leo asked, although he already knew the answer

When Carlos nodded, he asked,

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't find the right time?" Carlos offered while he kept laughing

"Hi guys!" Elena came in, smiling at them brightly

"Hi! I heard you planned a trip for the entire company!" Leo gushed, faking enthusiasm then his face went to his usual blank expression and he said with gritted teeth, "Why the hell didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted to surprise you! Isn't that a great idea!" Elena exclaimed as she jumped up and down, clapping her hands.

Leo shook his head, sighing, "When are we going?"

"Right now!" She said then went and grabbed Leo's hand then started dragging him out of his office with Carlos laughing behind them.

Once they got to the ground floor, all the talking and laughing stopped as the workers looked at Elena with a questioning gaze on their faces.
