Arduous tedious meetings

Even luncheon with Stephanie
"Your heart is breaking," Sophie comments with a pout
"My heart has already been broken by one woman," I reply rolling my eyes
"Gosh you're so nostalgic," Sophie retorts sarcastically
"Can we talk about something else?" I say my voice thick with ice and venom
Sophie gazes at me through pitiful sad green orbs
"Come on, let's go home where you can have a good cry," Sophie states enveloping me in a bear hug
It takes all my will power not to break down and cry in her arms
