A little girl once asked me,
If I've ever been in love.
And in just a split second,
Every memory of us flooded right back.
I looked at her and told her that I have,
And it was the bravest thing I've ever done.
It was also never my decision,
And it came without warning.
'Being in love feels like being baptized,
with flows of roses and eternal love.
It feels like being alive again.'
I told her.
'But, there's no such thing as a perfect love.
It also feels like being alone in the dark,
with your nightmares crawling near,
saying things you never want to hear.'
