Your love was better said than done.
It reaches out to the ends of my mind and branches out like limbs around my heart.
It captivates my body and my soul. It leaves me bereft of colors and drained of words.
It was like a broken vow and a faded polaroid. Every edge of it pictures a blooming rose in winter, and a spark of compassion in war.
Your love was better said than done.
For it cuts every part of my heart and lights every inch of my soul,
All at the same time.
