You showed me,
What love felt like.
Thank you for that.
You helped me see,
All the good in the world.
You opened my self-willed eyes.
You sooth me like the sea.
I never knew how a smile,
Could ease my distraught heart.
You became my light,
To guide me through the night.
Even thoughts of you would do.
I see myself in your eyes,
And there I hope I can stay,
For you lift up all that I weigh.
