Heidi Scott had made it almost seven years without any unwanted attention from the notorious man-whore, Sirius Black. It was mainly thanks to the fact that Remus had claims on her. Not like those kinds of claims, but a claim that was basically, "She is the only one who is able to explain Ancient Runes to me, and if you chase her away with your insistent bloody nagging, I will end you." As a result, Sirius Black had kept his space and maintained the peace. That all changes when Remus stops taking Ancient Runes in the seventh year. Heidi loses Remus's protection and gains Sirius's attention.
In the beginning, Heidi ignored Sirius's advances. It wasn't too difficult to ignore the sugar coated words spoken to her in classes and in the common room, but when Sirius gets a little too drunk at a Gryffindor party, and decides to stand up on a table in the common room and dedicate an original "Sirius Black Poem" to Heidi. She is embarrassed, and Heidi Scott refuses to let silly little horny boys embarrass her. So, in response, in the same poem style Black used, she spews the first thing that comes to her mind, "Roses are red. Violets are blue. My life would be so much better without you in it."

— Sirius actually likes Heidi, but he's terrible at showing it
— Remus and Heidi remain friends, they're really close
— Heidi is in the same year as the marauders and is closest with her door mates and Remus
— when Heidi insults him, it makes everyone laugh, especially James and Remus, because usually people don't turn Sirius down
— Sirius hated being turned down by Heidi. it also embarrassed him, so he starts to bicker with Heidi (which creates more chances for insults) until Remus just tells him to knock it off and actually be nice to her. so Sirius starts to do little things to get closer to Heidi and it works
— Heidi also is pushed by Lily to give Sirius a shot because Lily gave James a shot, and they ended up being perfect for each other
— this story should be the epitome of enemies to lovers
