" joey, i've had a crush on you since i was sixteen! "
Being friends with the Tribbiani sisters was always interesting, and for Camille, she loved every second of it. One minute the seven of them would be gossiping about school and boys, then the next she'd be running from cops with Tina and Cookie. Camille also loved nothing more than the big Italian dinners she had with the whole Tribbiani family, and that's where she met Joey.
After she finally met the only Tribbiani boy, Camille started to take a lot more interest in him, creating a major schoolgirl crush. Crushing on your best friends' only brother is a literal no-no, which had Camille keep that shit hidden. Of course, with time, the crush disappeared. Camille grew up. They lived separate lives. And hadn't seen each other in almost ten years.
But one day, when Camille is walking to work in the streets of New York, she hears a voice from behind her yell, "Cami?" And there's only one person who has ever called her Cami.

— this takes place in S5 because this is when Joey starts wanting to have a relationship like Monica and Chandler have (this is when he has a dream about Monica and he says he wants the "closeness" they have... ie the title "closer to you"
— only joey calls camille cami!!! I can see chandler calling her cami and joeys like "yea no❤️ only me" so everyone calls her Camille or Cam and chandler calls her "frenchie" sometimes
— I can also see there being a whole "ep" where joey finds out camille is french. and he's shocked (joey is joey) and they have this whole thing where joeys like "but I'm italian!!!! and ur french!!!!!)
— idk what specially happens in S5 so I don't have any plot related ideas besides that camille catches feelings for joey again when they're in vegas but they will be a slow burn!!!!
— and I see joey running into Camille after the ep where he tells monica and chandler about wanting "closeness" which is "the one with the cop" and chandler and monica r like 👀👀 cause "damn what a coincidence" and once monica and or chandler find out they r both crushing on each other,, they meddle
— it's important that joey didn't like camille when they were younger. it'll add angst cause he'll be like "she was like a little sister to me!" and camille will be like "great. just great." but joey no longer sees her that way but camille doesn't know
— i see like a 3 year age mark between them. this will have joey protective over her like a big brother when they were younger. he's still protective but not really in a sibling way anymore. camille sees it that way but in reality joey is basically jealous
— for example, camille has a date w some guy and joey is like "I don't like him" and all that protective nonsense and camille sees it as him being a big brother which she hates cause they r in their late 20s now and she likes him and it makes her feel like a kid. so they fight. in reality joey is jealous
