CHAPTER 1

KIRSTEN'S POV:

"Hey! Come back! You haven't told me your name! How will I found you?" The Prince uttered as she runs away when the clock strikes at 12 midnight. She was about to turn to see her Prince when..."

KRRRRRIIINNNNGGGG (ALARM CLOCK RINGING)

I suddenly woke up from the sound of my alarm clock. "Ugh! Such a killjoy!" I rant as I turn it off and let out a deep sigh. Parang totoo na naman yung panaginip ko, sayang, di ko na naman nakita mukha ng prince charming ko! Hmp! "Kelan ko kaya sya makikita?" I asked myself.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when my mom entered the room. "Rise and shine Princess! It's the first day of school." She kissed my forehead and smiled at me sweetly.

"Good morning, Ma." I said as I straighten up and stretched my arms. "I'm sleepy pa!" I can't help but yawn.

"C'mon Princess, malalate ka nyan. You don't want to be late on your first day of school right?" Pag-eencourage nya para tuluyan na kong bumangon. I nod. "I'll be leaving for England at noon so I want to spend my breakfast with you, sweetie." Oo nga pala, ngayon pala alis ni Mommy. Si daddy naman nasa Hawaii. Haaaay, mag-isa ko na naman dito. Pero okay lang, they find time naman to bond with me kapag andito sila.

"Yeah, I almost forgot, Ma. Sige po babangon na ko."

"I'll be waiting for you downstairs, okay?" She kissed me once more. My mom is super sweet.

"Yes Ma. I'll be there in a bit." I said as she left the room. After a few stretchings, I compose myself and went downstairs to join mom for breakfast.

A breakfast with my mom will always be the best. We chat and we laugh the whole time since she loves to crack jokes. She's the best! After breakfast, I went back to my room, bathe and do my morning routine. After wearing my make-up, I examine myself in the mirror once more then I grab my bag and went out of the room. After I bid my mom goodbye, I went to the garage and get in the car. It's a 20 minute ride going to school.

By the way, I am Kirsten Athena Dela Vega-Tan. I'm half Chinese, half Filipino. I am already 20 years old but I still believe in fantasies and fairytales, Prince Charming and Knight in Shining Armor. Being an only child, my parents treated me like a real Princess. And as a typical girl can be, I always dream of meeting my Prince Charming one day. A prince who will protect me in times of danger and unexpected circumstances. Someone who's not afraid of showing how much he loved and cared for me. Well, I don't even know if Prince Charming exists in real life but I am still positive that one day, I can find him.

Anyway, I am a 4th year college student at Kings-Vill University. I am a transferee. Each year, I have to transfer from one university to another simply because I always got bullied. I don't know why pero sabi ng iba, masyado daw kasi akong innocent sa lahat ng bagay kaya lagi ako nabubully. Some would say na nerd daw ako at weird kasi lagi akong nagbabasa at laging may dalang libro kahit saan ako magpunta. I came from a very well-off family. My parents owned DTGC (Dela Vega-Tan Group of Companies), which include chains of five star hotels and restaurants here and abroad, manufacturing company and telecommunications company. I realized, that being rich doesn't give you an assurance na di ka mabubully. Minsan disadvantage pa nga ang pagiging mayaman kasi marami kang di alam sa bagay-bagay sa paligid mo. But I am trying to fit in all the time pero wala pa din eh, nale-left out pa din ako no matter how I try. It was 7:30AM nung dumating kami ni Kuya Robert, he's my driver/bodyguard but I didn't allow him to follow me everywhere, sa parking lot sya magstay along with Ate Melissa, my personal maid/assistant. Well, I didn't agree with any of it but it is my parent who wants it so I don't have the right to decline. I immediately went out of the car and bid them goodbye. I still have 30 minutes before my first subject. I let out a deep sigh. "Kaya ko 'to!"
