We went towards Elena and Sully. Sam was already there.

"You okay, Sam?", I asked.

"Sure, sure.", he answered.

We all made our way to Sully's plane and flew away from the island.

Nate and I were leaning against each other, our hands locked. Soon we had fallen asleep. It was already late at night, when Sully landed the plane in the harbour in King's Bay. After we went to a doctor to be patched up properly, we told Sam and Elena to go ahead.

"Hey, Dad, eh, we have to tell you something."

"Okay.", he said.

"Yeah, we are kinda ...", Nathan started.

I took his hand. "We're together."

Sully just looked at us. "You say, that like it was a big deal."

"What?", I asked.

"I had always expected, that you two would end up together.", he laughed. "I am happy for you guys. Especially you, Jo. I'm happy, that you found someone after Rafe."

I nodded. "Yes, and now he will never threaten me again."

We looked over to Sam and Elena, who were chatting on a dock a few metres away.

"You sure, that I can't fly you home?", my father asked.

"No, thank you. I have had enough of the damn plane.", I told him.

"And besides, I could really need service and comfortable seats.", Nathan chuckled.

"Okay. Goodbye then."

We hugged. "Take care of yourself, Dad."

"Sure. And no more late night calls about one last time, okay?"

"Promise."

Nate and Sully hugged and we went over to Sam.

"Hey, hey, hey, what are you telling her?", Nathan interrupted Sam.

"Just about your little "magic"-phase.", Elena answered.

"Oh, I hate you.", Nathan said to Sam.

"What was your stage name?", Elena asked.

"It was Nate the Great.", I answered.

"Oh, shut up.", Nathan lightly boxed my shoulder. "Remember how I had to call you in your so called western phase?"

"Oh god.", my face turned red.

"What was it?", Sam asked.

"Go on. Tell them.", Nathan teased me.

"It was Cotton Eye Jo."

"Cotton Eye Jo? Like the country song?", Elena laughed.

"Yes, exactly.", I blushed.
They all laughed.

"Okay, c'mon.", Elena said. "Sam, it was a pleasure to meet you."

The two shook hands and I hugged him. "I'm happy you're still alive."

"It was good to see you again, Jo. Keep an eye on this numbskull, okay?", he said referring to Nate.

"I will."

We pulled away and Elena and I went away to give the two brothers a second.

"Well, that was exhausting.", she said.

I nodded.

"Earlier today I got a call from John."

"And what did he say?", I asked.

"He said, that he knew I had no special research task from our boss. I told him, that I'm sorry, but he didn't let me explain."

"Speak to him, when we come back. It's better to tell him personally than by phone. He will understand. I'm sure he will."

"Thanks for saying that.", she smiled at me.

---------------Nathan's point of view--------------

Sam sighed. "Man she really loves you. You could tell that from miles away."

I smiled. "I know, right? I love her, too, man. Listen, the offer's still there. If you want to--"

"No, really. I thought after we found Avery's treasure, I'd be ... satisfied. But somehow I feel this kinda emptiness. What a shame, that we left empty-handed."

"I wouldn't say that.", I looked over to Jo, who was talking to Elena at the moment.

"Right. Jo.", he said.

"What? She is worth more to me that every piece of gold or silver, that was to find in the Gunsway. I don't need that. She is all I want."

Sam smiled at me. "I'm happy for you."

"Oh, that's our ride.", I said after I noticed a taxi, that was waiting for us. "Are you really sure, you don't want to come with us?"

"Nah, you're still a few lost cities ahead."

"Yeah, sure, I left them just for you."

"Yeah.", he chuckled.

"Sam. We've come far."

"We sure have, little brother."

We hugged. "Don't do anything, I wouldn't do."

"All right.", he said. And we pulled away.

I entered the taxi and we drove towards the airport.
