Chapter 5: "Impact!!!"

The ambulance races towards the Hospital.

     The blaring sirens and flashing lights carve a path through the afternoon traffic. Cars and trucks in our way part like Moses commanding the Red Sea.

     The experience of the E.M.T. driver is on display as he skillfully navigates through the sea of vehicles. I'd pat him on the back and tell him "Well done good sir" if I wasn't so busy, oh you know... dying!

     My heart's racing well over 480 b.p.m... not a good thing.

     I've lost control of my bodily functions... that's a CODE BROWN people!

     Muscles spazzing out and seizing up, the E.M.T.'s fight to restrain me.

     I'm pretty sure I punched the one guy in the face, like twice, while he was trying to stabilize me.

     Flashes of space continue to shoot through my already tortured mind, it's the Alien... I'm seeing through his eyes and I can see that he's headed straight for Earth... for me! Then I hear him for the first time, crystal clear in my head. Our minds and bodies linked, our heartbeats in sync.
