Nandini's room

Nandini was sitting in her room, a drop or two of tears rolling down her face. She had no idea how this all escalated, everything was fine in the morning and now adi was so angry. She didn't know who to choose or if this was ever supposed to be a choice.

Shivaay entered her room and sat on the bed beside her, but she had no power to speak.

S : princess u know when you weren't here Adi used to lock himself up in his room the whole day of Raksha Bandhan. He just couldn't accept that u were not here to tie rakhi to him or to ask for gifts. And manik and he weren't talking at that time so that he could console him.

N : bhai u were also their in the same situation. But u aren't reacting like this

S : he has always been the more possessive one, he never let's you out of sight and for him to accept or to even think u have another brother, he is unable to deal with it.although he is elder to you but sometimes he acts like the younger one. U need to understand

N : bhai rishab is different

S : I know but u need to tell him this, today after so many years we are all together on rakhi, being his sister please take the first step.

Nandini stands up and turns towards shivaay

N : I will

Shivaay pats her shoulder and leaves, nandini is still standing thinking how to make adi understand this. She was going out of her room and sees rishab. He comes and stands in front of her.

N : I am sorry for today rishab. Adi didn't meant that, u are my brother

R : no need to explain di, manik bhai talked to me and I get it where he is coming from.

N : thanks

R : go talk to adi bhai, I am sure he needs to hear you

Nandini nods and leaves towards Adi's room.

Adi's room

Adi is coming inside from the balcony when he sees nandini entering.

Ad : u want anything

Adi's voice was cold, he was hurt with the happenings, someone who was so much possessive over his sister and seeing her having a brother which wasn't he was not settling to him.
Nandini wanted to talk to him but suddenly felt tounge tied, how could she say that he was her only brother when she didn't feel like it.

N : Adi I need to tell u something

Ad : go ahead I am listening

Nandini takes a deep breath and sits down on the sofa in his room, Adi is still standing looking into her eyes.

N : rishab was there with me when I had no family no friends, during my fresh start, at that time he was the only one I could talk to, trust with my feelings and he became my brother, the word cousin soon left it's meaning and only brother was left. While you, you are there when I first opened my eyes, at every step, every rakhi I have been tying it on your wrist. I can't compare both of you. U have different places in my life. My equation with you is different with what I have with rishab.

Adi just nods and nandini's heart breaks a little at seeing him not replying to her, she just stands up and runs out unable to stay their anymore. Adi has questions mostly fears which he is unable to discuss with her.

No one was wrong just had a different perspective.
