US SOCCER FAMILY NEWS: TIM HOWARD REVEALS WHY HANNAH BEDAL WAS HOSPITALIZED. Posted December 26, 2016 By: Jessica Lockhead
Yesterday on Christmas Day, Tim Howard finally revealed by younger half-sister, Hannah Bedal, was hospitalized five days ago in an Instagram post. He shared a sweet picture of Bedal's boyfriend and his National teammate, Christian Pulisic, hugging Bedal who's laying in the bed (see below).

In the caption he explained what happened. Bedal had woken up a few days earlier unable feel or move anything below the middle of her back where she had fractured her vertebrae. Upon examinations at the hospital, it was discovered that spinal fluid was leaking into her back, causing the temporary paralysis. Doctors were able to stop the leaking and reverse the temporary paralysis. Howard also said in the caption, he was terrified. That sentiment echoed through a few of his comment chains specifically with ABT Principle Dancer, Roberto Bolle, and National Teammate, Clint Dempsey.

Bedal also took to Instagram with an update. She posted a picture of Pulisic kissing her hand while sitting next to her as she slept in addition to a picture of Tim holding her hand (see below).

In her caption, Bedal thanked everyone for their support. She said she had never been that scared before and was unable to explain what it was like not to be able to move most of her body. She thanked her doctors for taking care of her. She also thanked the Pulisics, Maggie, DeeDee, Chase, Kelley, and Mark for being there with her and Tim. Comments were once again disabled on her post.
