-you never knew that finn would be into a poc
-so when he asked you out you were amazed
-"how could i not like you y/n? you are the most amazing, sweet, talented girl i have ever met! and i couldn't imagine being with anyone else."
-your heart melted every time he would say something like that
-it meant so much to you
-your mom also liked him for that reason, he was super supportive of you and was always there when you needed him
-your dad had to warm up to him for a little while
-but after a 30 minute chat about god knows what
-he approved
-you and finn had tons of dates at all kinds of places
-you always told him what was not okay to say to/about a poc
-he now knew everything that you had the power to tell
-loved hearing stories about your ancestors
-which was odd but you always either told him a real story or a completely fake one to waste his time
-he LOVED playing with your hair
-he also loved just running his fingers through your long (hair type) hair
-it was calming for both him and you
-whenever your mom would walk by your room
-she would see you teaching him something new
-sometimes she just saw you and him laying on your bed with his fingers running through you hair
-laughing at each other
-maybe even kissing
-your dad never allowed for anything more
-but with every happy relationship
-comes the roller coaster of people's emotions
-every now and then
-people would hate on you just because you were dating finn and you weren't white
-all you would do is soak in the hate, watching loving the attention
-finn would always tell you that you were better dealing with hate than he was
-and then he would give you a sweet little kiss and take you to get some food
-he loved you so much neither of you could figure out how two people could love each other so much a such a young age
