Chapter 16

Alex woke up ,to find herself in a dark room.
The four poster bed and black satin made her recoil to recall all that occurred the day before.
Xavier is her mate.
She sat up ,only to be forced back down so fast she saw stars.
"Ow".she clutched her head. She felt rapid movuuuuuuement on the bed .
"Oh,I apologise . I always forget humans are weak".a soft male voice said.
She furrowed her eyebrows.
A male in her bed,with her on it. Opening her eyes,she saw Xander's beautiful face,with fangs and red eyes. He looked disheveled with his hair let loose in disarray. He looked worried. What a sight.

Chuckling she took her fingers and ran a finger on his fangs and ,then bobbed his nose with her finger.

"What a wonderful dream. Xavier smiling at me. Looking all cute and vampirish".she said cutely.
Realising what she said,Xander teleported to the closet.
"Wake up and bath. Then come down for breakfast."then he was gone.

She blushed realizing what had transpired. She felt oddly happy about it. How wonderful it would be to see his face first thing every morning.

No. No this is Xander we are talking about . There is no more sleeping near each other bizwax.

Reaching the dining room she felt a horde of eyes turn to her.
Her eyes widened.
The small table was extended to fit twenty five people. She saw scary looking vampires. Who looked dangerous.

"M-morning".she stuttered.
They looked at her like she is a meal. She took a step back.

She noticed the king and queen and Xavier's grandparents. Xander was seated on the table looking bored. But his eyes which where focused on his chalice spoke of anger. At whom she wondered.

She felt hands go around her waist and spinning her around.
"If it isn't my favorite human . Alexander my sweet!".He twirled her around.
"Jonny!",she squealed after put down on the ground she hugged him.

Daeryon and Raxyna though surprised ,monitored Xander.
Though he looked calm, his hands holding his spoon bended, his chalice made of pure gold snapped under pressure. Making everyone face him .Alex leaving Jonathan's embrace.
She sat down opposite Xander next to Jonny.

A maid cleaned the portion then handed him a new chalice with a jug of blood.
Seeping it he scowled.
"What sort of shit is this?".he asked the maid who started trembling in fear.
"O positive Your majesty as you asked."she said calmly despite her fear.
"It is disgusting then".he snarled.
Everyone looked at him ."What are you all gawking at?".he scowled . He was angry.

He was angry that all he wanted was to shower Alex with all the love. He wanted to smile so much it physically hurt to scowl. He wanted to hug her ,to sooth her. To protect her.

But he couldn't. She is just a human. He is a Prince. A vampire Prince .

He has a reputation to protect. The table was speaking when the king said ",Thank you all for coming. Mother ,Father. Jonathan. Council members. I thank you for coming on such short notice."he greeted standing.

She looked at them .
"We are here to tell you all ,that we have found our heir. Xander's mate is She ,Princess Alexander Eliszbeth Welter Jacqui the first."he pointed to
Alex. The council man looked at her with renewed interest.

We must kill her

She is human

She smells divine

She will distract the Prince.

She will alter our plans

Xander listened to their thoughts.
His family watches his eyes cloud over in fury. As he listened to their thoughts. This was their  plan. To find out who was against them.
