Epilogue

It has been two years since the untimely death of the Prince's mate.

A year after her death the Prince was questioned by the council.

Then he disappeared for another year after that. No one knew where he was.

The Queen Elizabeth woke up startled by a peculiar sound.
Her husband looked at her as well as the sound continued.

Then it stopped.
"Does anyone have a child in the servants quarters?".She asked.

"Not that I know off".The King sighed.
It ,the child cried once more with renewed effort.
They put on their robes and ran up the stairs to the other wing. They found a clatter of people gathered at Xander's wing.
Elizabeth saw her parents in law to the front of the commotion.
"Everyone please retire to your rooms. We will solve this immediately. We do not know what it is. Please return to your  quarters." the King boomed.

They were reluctant to leave but they left anyways.
"What is going on?".Elizabeth asked.
"We don't know. We were hoping you two knew".Raxyna said.
The cry came again. Then a voice said gently",Hush  Princess, we wouldn't want to wake the entire castle now would we?".

They knew that voice. However it has gained more warmth than it did when Alex was around.
Raxyna opened the door and rushed forward followed by the others.  

The sight before them caused fear and anxiety to settle on their bones.
"Well fancy seeing you all well. I do apologise if Jaska woke you we did not mean to did we Jaska",he said leaning his head down to kiss the now smiling baby. With huge Hazel eyes,cute nose,tan skin and black thick wavy curly silky hair.

"Xander,Where did you get the child?".Elizabeth asked in fear. Stepping cautiously to Xander to save the child if need be.

Xander sighed as if he was bored. But the look in his eyes when the baby popped her own drool bubble can only be described as pure unadulterated love.
"You need not be afraid mother. I would never harm my own flesh and blood."

They were in more fear.
"What do you mean?....How is it?.....Who is the mother?". His poor father was stressed anxious and agitated.

"Only my lovely mate,Alex could sire such a beauty. God rest her soul".he said slowly and pinned them with a smirk.

"She died. Two years ago. You know that. And this child is hardly two. Whoever you stole this kid from ,return it".The Queen commanded.

".Mother this child your granddaughter is three months old to date. Mother Alex,Father me. Although Alex is dead. Our daughter shall live. In her strongest form."he informed them.

"Xander I do not-".his mother began agitated.

Xander cut her off frustratedly",I knew Alex was going to die sooner or later so I stole her eggs and had them frozen for in vitro fertilisation .  A surrogate keeps our baby in  her womb and let's grow. So now I can control how many children with Alex can we ,I mean I want".He smirked at their horrified gazes.

The baby cried again and he conjured a bottle and fed her.
"What are you feeding her?".Raxyna asked.

"Blood and formula. She apparently is a pureblood. I do not understand how. Alex wasn't a pureblood".he mused taking the bottle out to put the baby on his shoulder to burp her. His expertise shocked them.

"Who?  What happened to the surrogate?". The queen asked.

"Who does not matter. I paid her and the doctors. I bought her an apartment in the humans place. She lived with her parents who were all poor. They took the easy way up. But it was not easy as she almost died a couple of times. That is when we knew a pureblood was being born. As soon as she was born I left with her and left them to their merry way. I have been living in the human sections but hunting for blood with a newborn isn't fun. And I was not leaving her all alone.
So I came back."he explained and smiled when she burped.

"But what about her mother?".The Queen asked.
He stiffened.
"What about her?".he asked placing her down in a crib.

"What will you tell her? How will you explain why she has no MOTHER!?".she cried tears springing to her eyes.

"I will tell her the truth. I will tell her that I killed her mother. I killed her mother ,MY MATE! And you know why? Cause I would rather hate myself than for someone to kill her and take her away from me and then I would have to hate the world. Wreck havoc and destroy."he said his forehead vein pulsing.

They nodded and kept their peace. They had an heir after all.
Three months earlier
Alex was woken up by a gentle voice.
"She is awake".
She opened her eyes and looked about the dimly lit room. She saw the beautiful man and a beautiful woman and her parents? She tried to
Sit up but a searing pain in her lower abdomen had her screaming in pain.

They were all astonished. She was awake after a year and months. They took her out of the crib when they heard her beat a year prior.
She screamed as the pain hit her again. Clutching her abdomen in pain. Liquid trickled down her legs.

"What is wrong with her?"her mother asked Maltabella.
Maltabella bit her lip.
"I do not know dear.  She seems as if a woman in travail."she said worriedly dabbing at the squirming girl's forehead.

Dracula looked on with a look of sorrow.
"That is because her child is being born.  Her heart beat started nine months ago. Today would be labour day."
he explained.

His wife looked at him ,"How,it only happens to men whose mates are in labour".she said.

"So you mean Xander's new mate is giving birth to their child?".Dracula asked incredulously.
She gave one last scream of pain before she blacked out.

"What happened?".Alex's mom asked her grandmother. Maltabella.

"Somehow Xander has a new mate perhaps and she gave birth or a child born of Alex and Xander being born,elsewhere outside her body. But how?". Maltabella asked .
"Actually there is a way."Alex's father said.
They looked at each other then him.
"For couples who struggle to conceive there is a way. The doctors take eggs from female and sperm from male and fuse them in a lab and take the ovum and place it inside a surrogate or the original mother. The child grows as per normal. It is called IVF,invitro Fertilisation."he said. His wife nodded at his words.
"It is very expensive but the Prince could've easily afforded it."She said.

"Do we tell her?".she asked looking at her grandparents.  

Dracula sighed."Let us look for the child first and be sure.Then we tell her".They all nodded.

Three months passed and Dracula said grimly"I overheard an interesting conversation. Jaska she is Alex and Xander's daughter."

Alex entered the room. They all saw her narrowed eyes.
"Where is she. My daughter I mean. I can see her you know. Since she was born. It is blurry. But I know that murderer Xander is there."
She hissed his name.
They all saw the change in Alex once she became a vampyer .
It was truly frightening.
