I Like Jace More (teaser)

Magnus POV

Alec's head laid in my lap as I twirled my fingers through his hair. We had barely left one another's side in the two days I had been back. My lovely boyfriend was drawing something while keeping a conversation going between us. His knees bent and his notebook propped up on his thighs.

"Magnus" he said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes, love?" I asked.

"Can we go on another date? Like out of the your house, and the city. Somewhere like our first date" he requested. "I mean, not that our dares since then haven't been nice, I just kinda want to get away from here for a while"

"I know you meant no offense darling,  of course we can. I'll see what I can do about something mystical out if the city" I replied, chuckling at how he thought he could offend me over how he spoke about our other dates, during them he had praised me a lot. And I knew was he mean. Alec was just awkward with words when it came to voicing his own ideas and/or feelings. I knew the dates since then were simple and mundane but we had rarely had anytime together where I could plan a more extravagant date.

"Thanks" he said while blushing a deep red color. "Do you have the photos we took at our first date?"

"Yes I do"I replied, snapping my fingers to summon the photographs.

Alec smiled widely and went through the pictures, unmistakeably happy. He selected one and began drawing. I watched him fondly, thinking about how much better my life has been since I met him.

There was a knock on the door and then it opened. "Please stop having sex and get dressed so I can look at the two of you" Jace said as he entered.

"We're already dressed Herondale" I replied. Jace removed his hands and looked at us.

"Oh well I need my parabatai. You aren't the only one who needs him Magnus. I'm going through withdrawal" Jace declared.

"He's mine" I replied.

"No he isn't. I had him first" Jace responded.

"He likes me better" I argued.

"No he doesn't. He has to like me, we're parabatai"

"He might like you but he loves me. Not you, he doesn't draw you he draws me. He doesn't like you more than me"

"Alec, brother, if we were going to fall off of a cliff you would you save? Me or King Sparkles. Who would die?" Jace asked, a little manically.

"Me. The cliff will take one life, and it'll be mine. Both of you can continue to live" Alexander answered. "If you wanna know who I like better it's Jace"

"We are over" I replied,glaring at him.

"But if you wanna know who I love more it's Magnus"

"Maybe not completely over but I might need some convincing" I replied, drawing out the word convincing.

"I would love to convince you" he replied.

"And you have the right body to do so" I responded.

"Yuck. You two get a room" Jace said, pretending to choke on bile.

"We have a room you're in it" I told him

"Yada yada yada, just technicalities. Aleccc I miss you. Leave the Sparkles and come back to me. I'll welcome you back with open arms. Allie please" Jace whined.

"Allie?" I asked.

"It's what Max calls me" My boyfriend responded.

"Come on Alec, we can train for a bit and Sparkles can plan a party or something. I mean you go sleep with him nightly please" Jace begged.

"Fine" Alexander relented.

"I'll go find something to do" I replied and made myself scarce.

Alec POV

I punched Jace in the gut. We had been fighting nonstop for an hour. Now we were barehanded because our weapons had been knocked out of our hands by the other. He landed a kick to my hip and I let out a grunt. He had kicked the same place repeatedly and I was getting sore.

Jace and I pulled back from one another to catch our breath. I breathed harder on purpose, taking my time to think of an attack plan. I had one partially formed and decided it couldn't hurt to try.

I peeked up at Jace, he was still breathing heavily so I took the opportunity to attack. This wasn't an official break so we were technically still live fighting.

I lunged at him, arms outstretched. He handed flat in his back, I winced a little as my spine flickered with pain as I felt Jace's hurt where his back collided with the hardwood floor.

Jace moved around, trying to get some type of leverage over me but I wrapped my hands around his neck. He struggled but couldn't removed my hands.

"Tap out" I said as my throat began to burn, meaning he was completely out of air.

Jace weakly tapped the ground three times and I released him, moving out of the way. He turned over to catch his breath.

"What the hell Alec? That was amazing. You gotta teach me how you did that. You like flew through the air. Has Magnus been putting faerie stuff in your drinks?" Jace gushed.

"No he hasn't. Or at least I don't think so" I laughed.

"Cool so teach me?" He asked. I nodded at my parabatai and began to instruct him.

So this is only a teaser-trailer of the full chapter. My friend and I were talking, and she said I should try to emphasize Jace and Alec's parabatai relationship a bit more. And if anyone was thrown off by the title, no Alec is not breaking up with Magnus and Jace is still straight. It's really just a bromance/brotherly love type thing.

There is a lot going on at my school, like a whole hell of a lot between testing, teachers thinking "the more homework the better" so I'm now drowning in homework. We have testing next week so I'm supposed to cram two months worth of stuff in three weeks for the major test that I'm taking in two weeks, I don't remember the last time that I had all of my actual teachers, like not any substitutes. So the point of my self-woe is that the updates are probably going to be coming out every other day, to be more convenient to my packed schedule. Another thing is that I need some ideas and the ones have can't come in until later so this chapter was made up while I was in class and my idiot classmates were being idiots (sorry if that offends you but it is true, I would guess they only have one and a half brain cells). So I'm running out of ideas so the chapters might be noticably shorter until I can get some good ideas. It would be a big help if you commented your ideas about something that they could do; a date, an enemy, anything truly. You can introduce a character that you made or maybe a place that they could visit, or that I could give Malec a date on. If you could it would be very appreciated.
