Alec POV

I nuzzled into my fiance's neck and breathed in deeply through my nose. Magnus made a soft noise and wrapped his arms tighter around my waist, pulling me closer to his body.

Magnus was still asleep but I gently caressed his face with my hands. He nuzzled into my hand, pressing his lips to my palm.

"Morning gorgeous" I greeted when his beautiful cat eyes opened.

"Morning beautiful" he replied, a tear gliding down his face. I checked the beside table clock. "But it looks more like the afternoon"

"What's wrong babe?" I asked, as I saw a stray tear run down his cheek .

"I love you. It's so good to be back with you" Magnus told me, more tears running down his face as he pressed his face into my chest.

I pulled my fiance into my arms and kissed the top of his head.  "I love you too, Magnus"

Magnus and I moved into the living room. He headed straight for the kitchen and started rummaging through the cabinets.

"Mags, you don't have to make anything. We could just order something" I told him.

"It's fine, I want to make breakfast" he replied.

"Why?" I asked, out of curiosity. While he usually didn't mind cooking for me, he usually preferred to just portal something over here.

"I want to make something for my beautiful fiance. And I need to do something mundane, the last few months have been too... real" he answered.

Ohh, that makes sense. He needed something to ground himself, I couldn't imagine being out in literal Hell for months at a time

"Wanna know something even more mundane than that?" I asked.

"What?" He inquired

"Making breakfast with your fiance" I answered.

Magnus smiled and I walked over to him. I wrapped my arms around my fiance's waist and smiled as he began cooking.

Magnus snapped his fingers and turned on the radio. Magnus sung along and I smiled as i looked at my fabulous Warlock.

I wondered if our married life would be like this. If we would wake up and fix breakfast together for our children. If this was the kitchen that we'd fix their lunches and dinners.

Wait, would we have kids?

"Hey Magnus" I started off, to get his attention.

"Yeah babe?" He asked.

"Have you thought about kids?" I questioned.

Magnus set the ladle, that he was using to stir the pancake batter, down.  He slowly turned and looked at me, thinking for a few minutes before he said anything.

"I haven't thought much about them. Kids haven't been in the cards for me, especially before I met you. And then, you're still young and I wasn't sure if you even wanted kids. We can't physically have kids, we are both men and I'm infertile. Plus we aren't even married yet. And I still have to leave for Dudiel, we don't even know if I'm coming back. I've thought about kids but not about us having children" he replied.

"Do you want kids?" I asked.

"Yes" he replied.

"Okay. So when you come back from Dudiel, and after we get married, and go on the honeymoon. We can talk about kids, and methods to have them. Whether or not it's adoption, maybe even one, or some, of the kids that we rescued some time ago. They need homes or possibly find a surrogate for us. We have options that we can speak about later. Whenever we are ready" I responded.
