Casley's POV

"Taylor is so going to kill me." Selena sighed as she got into the driver's seat. I grinned at put on my seatbelt. It was 9 am in the morning. The audition was at 12 pm. "She already left when you came anyway. She's probably not gonna reach home until really late." I replied, typing in the location of the casting area into the GPS. Selena shook her head and laughed, turning up the radio. We exchanged looks once we heard the song on the radio:

I made a few mistakes, I regret it nightly
I broke a couple hearts that I wear on my sleeve
My momma always said, "Girl, you're trouble" and
And now I wonder, could you fall for a woman like me
And every time we touch, boy, you make me feel weak
I can tell you're shy and I think you're so sweet
Spending every night under covers and
Still I wonder, could you fall for a woman like me
Woman like me, like a woman like me
La-la-la woman like me, like a woman like me
La-la-la woman like me, like a woman like me
La-la-la woman like me, like a woman like me

I cleared my throat as Nicki's rap started:

Yo, woman like me, yes a woman like me
Soon as I brush up on him I could tell he like me
You know all them mandem, my trife they swipe me
Knotted up, he could afford to ice me
Tell 'em there's a bad Trini bitch inna your area
But the more bad bitches, then the more merrier
Baddies to my left and to the right a little scarier
Rude boy, tell me, can you handle all this derrière?
Uh, a million I'm getting my billy on
Greatest of all time, 'cause I'm a chameleon
I switch it up for every era, I'm really bomb
These bitches really wanna be Nicki, I'm really mom
Apple cut the cheque, I want all this money
Seven Up, go grip the TEC, and leave all this bloody
I-It's the Queen and Little Mix, skated on 'em, sorry
My daddy is Indian (swish), a-all this curry

"Damn girl! That was so on point." Selena looked at me through the mirror. I smirked and returned to my phone.

I groaned as I heard my ringtone ringing continuously for the umpteenth time. I sat up straight and glared at Selena through the mirror. "What? Your phone is so far from me and I'm driving. We're stopping at the diner up ahead, by the way." Selena retorted. I sighed and glanced at the caller ID. "Crap. It's Taylor. I've got like a million missed calls from her. Holy, Selena, we're so dead." I rambled on,  panic-stricken at the moment. "Oh my god, just call her back." Selena rolled her eyes. I glared at her again and dialled Taylor's number with shaky hands.

"Oh my god, thank god you called, Cas. I was gonna file another police report." Taylor's relieved voice rang through my phone.

"I-"

"Why didn't you tell me about your audition? I could have just driven you there myself. You should have told me Cas. You're not supposed to keep secrets from me, baby. I want you straight home after your audition and we're gonna talk about this. Stay safe." Taylor said, her voice monotonous, hanging up right after.

I held the phone against my ear, dumbfounded. How did she even find out? Oh god, I must have left the letter at home or something. But that whole conversation, if you could even call it one, was so calm and weird. It's like she's angry yet calm- which is the worst kind of angry you would want her to be.

"So? What did she say?" Selena questioned, pulling into the drive-thru of Macdonalds. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, "To put it simply- I'm gonna get killed when we get home." Selena turned and looked at me, "Told you so."
