OH.WHAT.A.YEAR!!
Sanem and I have been sailing together around the world for nearly a year! And it has been a once in a lifetime experience for the both of us! Sanem's peacefully sleeping next to me in the little cabin and I'm reminiscing about our last few months together!

Our first stop and Sanem's first destination outside of Turkey was Mitilini, Greece. I had chosen that quaint little port town about a day sailing out of Turkey. I wanted to ensure that Sanem adjusts to the ocean, make sure she is okay being on a wobbly boat and build her sea legs. That's all too many news things happening to her all at once, leaving home, being married, in an unknown environment and most of all... becoming mine! She's pure, innocent and very inexperienced... and I want to do everything in the world just to have her be comfortable, caroled and incandescently happy!
My heart, mind and soul were racing a million miles per second at the fact that we're married and she's about to me mine, body, mind, spirit and soul.... but mostly the moment I become hers, all of me, everything that I ever am... now and forever!

Oh what indescribable ions we have consummating our marriage, our relationship, our partnership and our love and I'm more in love with this girl than I was ever before! Her immense capacity to love me and the ever-expanding universe of allowing me to love her grows exponentially by the second.... and we're inseparable... literally and otherwise from each other! WAIII.... this is my life and it has just begun.... and I'm looking forward to the adventures, moments and memories that we'd be building together!

Others have said it before, but in our case, it is actually true that time is an abstract concept to us! We're floating in the ocean and the days are longer and the nights are even more so. We fish when we are hungry; if there's no catch of the day, I cook for her and she keeps me company! She talks and talks and talks some more.... sometimes making me laugh until my stomach hurts. I have the incredible pleasure of just listening to her stories and they're such wonderful, ethereal and beautiful stories. When she pauses, it is usually to ask me details of my childhood, about Huma, Baba, Emre, my friends, our time apart, my travels, my experiences, my adventures, my near-misses, what not and I tell her about feeling and things that I've never shared with anyone! With her heart already being overwhelmingly full of me, I realize and can sense that she's building a quilt of my memories in her eidetic mind, carving a place for me in her mind to be etched and memorialized forever!
