"I-I-I..." I trailed off winding the phones extension chord nervously around my fore finger.

"What is she saying?" I heard a whisper in the background, it sounded very like Brian

"Shut up she hasn't agreed yet"

"I told you she wouldn't" I heard John pipe up"

"Oh fuck off John" Freddie and Brian both said in unison. My heart warmed a little and I let out a laugh. A real laugh, something I hadn't done in a long time. I could feel myself smiling down the phone. I thought a little longer

"I'll do it Fred. I will be there by tonight. But it'll just be you and I, right?" I smiled down the phone

"Oh god Evie thank you so much. Oh and one last thing before you go" He said quickly

"Yeah Fred?"

"Roger has locked himself in a cupboard and you are gonna need to get him out. Okay, see you tonight love" He spouted quickly before hanging up the phone and cutting me off

"wait. Freddie. what? wai-" All I could hear was the dull drone of an empty line

that bastard

I sighed half annoyed and half amused. Looking in to the mess that was my room. I decided I better start to pack. Here we go again

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It took a couple hours for me to squeeze everything I could find in to my bright case. I pulled the zipper shut with immense effort. I had hesitated a lot whilst packing, thinking of calling up Freddie and cancelling. I didn't know if I could face seeing Roger yet, it had been nearly a month since I had last seem him. My heart still ached when I thought of him. His blonde hair, his striking eyes and the way that boy looked when he smirked was a lethal combination, he could kill a girl. I had to push all these thoughts aside. The song couldn't possibly take that long to record. I would probably only be a week maximum. I'm sure there were plenty of places I could sleep, far away from Roger. I gathered my things and headed toward the door. Dumping it all in an unruly pile. I quickly bounded to the phone and punched in a number

"Hey Vanity, its Evie"

"Hi Love, what's up? Katy is here, she says hey"

"Tell her I say hey back. I was actually just about to tell you. I might need to take some time off, for about a week or so. Freddie wants to record a song I have written, he needs me to head to the studio tonight. It was all very spur of the moment. Ver y Freddie. I hope you don't mind too much love" I said finishing with a gasp

"Wow. That's a lot of information" Vanity paused on the other end "But I know this has been a big dream of yours. Of course. Take all the time you need love, these things don't always go to schedule"

"Oh god I love you V. Thank you so much!" I said happily down the phone

"I love you too Evie. But dare I ask? What about Roger?" Even the name made my gut feel uneasy.

"I don't know V. I honestly don't know"

"Be careful love" Vanity said before hanging up the phone. I sighed hanging up the phone and putting my hand to my heart. I could feel it pounding rapidly in my chest. I took a deep breath and went to the door. I slowly picked up my bag and my coat, and shut the door behind me. I staggered down the stairs and out of my apartment building to my newly purchased car. It was Mary's old yellow Beatle. Freddie had bought her a new car and she was selling it for unbelievably cheap, so I bought it. I popped the boot and shoved all of my belongings in to it before slamming it shut. The sound echoed nosily in the empty street. I got in to the car and revved the engine. Clutching the steering wheel nervously my car veered around the corner off toward my new future.
