Say You Love Me

Chapter 7- Derek's POV

I turned and tossed the whole night thinking about what to say to Bethany. I had to make her believe me. I ended things with Nina. I really did. Just then I decided to let her wake up to a surprise I was going to plan her. I quickly got out of bed and tiptoed downstairs. I walked into Marks room and shook him awake.

"W-what?" He asked tired and rubbing his eyes.

"Will you help me win Bethany back?"
I asked him.

"Wait, hold the phone, you hurt my Baethany?" He asked sarcastically glaring at me.

"No, she saw a TMZ report on me and Nina but I broke up with her." I explained.

"What do you need me to do?" Mark asked agreeing to help me.

"I'm going to plane a scavenger hunt for her. Just make sure she eats the breakfast I will lay out in the morning. Got it?" I asked him.

"Got it. Now, go back to sleep, oh, and what the hell are you doing up so late?" He questioned.

"Couldn't sleep." I replied leaving the room.

I quietly placed clues all around the house. The last clue lead to the beach where I set up a romantic picnic. It was about 6:00am when I finished. Practice wasn't until 10:00am. I quickly walked home from the beach a person from behind grabbed my hand. I turned around to see Nina.

"Oh, uh, hi Nina." I mumbled.

"Hey D," she said all flirty. She started rubbing my chest. I stepped back.

"Uh, what are you doing?" I asked her confused.

"Derek, I will get you back no matter what it takes." She said.

"No you won't. I don't love you anymore Nina." I said.

"I don't care. You will be mine. I'm sure of it." She said.

"That's never going to happen." I said. I quickly dashed to my car and got in. I started the engine and started to drive back home.

When I got home it was 6:30AM. I slipped back into bad making sure not to wake Bethany. I fell back asleep dreaming of what her reaction would be to my surprise.

Bethany's POV-
I woke up around 7:00AM. I turned to see if Derek was still in bed. I got out of bed and walked downstairs to see if he was down there. Instead of Derek I found Mark.

"Hey Mark." I said walking down the steps.

"Hey B," he said standing up from the couch. "Derek wanted you to eat this special breakfast he made for you."

"Mark, do you um," I was cut of by him saying,
"Yeah."
"Oh," I replied. He handed me the plate and the note attached to it.
"What's this?" I asked.
Mark shrugged. "You got me."
I ripped the note of the plate and read it.

I was confused at first but then realized what Derek was doing. He really wants this to work doesn't he.

"Uh, I gotta go." I said grabbing my coat, keys, and phone.

"In that?" Mark referred to my outfit.

I rolled my eyes and laughed. I quickly ran upstairs and threw on my clothes from yesterday. I walked back downstairs and said bye to Mark. I got in my car and drove to the studio, the place where it all started.

When I arrived, another note was attached to the door.

I knew you'd come. Who's your best friend on the show? Go find them.

I ran to the studio Sadie was in.

"Do you know where Mark is?" She threw her hands up in frustration.

"Yea, I was just at him and Derek's apartment he looked like he was getting ready to leave." I replied to her question.

"Um, do you happen to know anything about this?" I showed her the note. She smiled.

"Follow me." She said and took me upstairs to other rehearsal rooms. She pointed to a room and said-

"In there." She smiled and walked back downstairs. I opened the door to the room Sadie told me to go in and was shocked at what I saw.
