I was dreading telling Derek I had to leave for Mexico tomorrow. I would be gone for 2 weeks. I had hoped he would be able to come with me, but he starts rehearsals for Rockettes in New York.
As we finished rehearsal, I sat Derek down.
"What's wrong B?" He asked, knowing I was upset.
"D-Derek, I leave for M-Mexico t-tomorrow." I stuttered. There was a long pause.
"B, we can make this work." He finally answered.
"I know we can. I'm just afraid something will happen when I'm gone." I say as hot tears stroll down my cheeks. Derek wipes away my tears.
"Baby, everything will be fine." He says bringing me in for a hug.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you, too." He replies back.
"I have to go meet Sadie and Witney." I say as I slowly stand up.
He stands up with me.
"Babe, how about after your shopping you come spend the night at my place. That way we can have one last night together." He offers. I turn and smile.
"Of course," I say as I pick up my bags.
"See you then." He says and pecks my lips.
"Bye babe." I say as I head out the door.
