Chapter 10: A Vintage Bracelet

Sabrina's P.O.V.

"A vintage bracelet? Wow, it was great." I said while checking it. It's so beautiful, even it's vintage. I like it.

Speaking of Kuya. Hindi ko pa pala sya na me-message simula nung makababa kami ng eroplano.

"Kuya Sevi might get mad at me! Sabi nya naman pati i-text ko daw sya pag naka baba na kami ng eroplano." Sabi ko habang hinahanap ang phone ko.

When I got my phone, I immediately texted him.

Kuya Gwapo:

Me: Kuya, paalis na kami. Nasa taxi palang kami. Ma-mi-miss kita Kuya! Te amo.

I sighed. He hasn't texted me yet.

Me: Hey kuya, sorry kung ngayon lang ako nakapag text sa'yo. We're already at the Tenement. Thank you for the bracelet that you gave to me. It's so beautiful. Te extraño (Miss you) Kuya.

Sent!

I was about to wear the bracelet when my phone vibrates.

Kuya Gwapo:

Him: It's okay Sab. I'm sorry for not texted you back. Always wear that bracelet. Yo también te extraño (I miss you too). Call me if there is a problem. Take care.

"Awww, miss ko na tuloy si Kuya Sevi." Sabi ko at sinuot na yung bracelet.

I finished all my work here then I put my suitcase na next to my bed.

"Sab! Cail and I just ordered nalang what we're gonna eat today. Bukas pa kasi tayo mag gro-grocery." Ani Kim.

"Okay. By the way, hindi pa ba bumabalik si Layt?" Tanong ko at luminga-linga sa paligid.

"Hindi pa nga eh. Aish." Cail said then she smirks.

"Ohhh I see, but why did you smirk?" I asked her in a teased way.

"N-nothing. Hobby ko na yun." She nervously said. Ohhh I smell something.

"Oh-kay." I think Cail is hiding something. She only smirking when she is annoyed or angry.

While we were waiting for our delivery, I sat on the sofa while scrolling on my timeline on Facebook but someone popped up on my friend request.

"Who's this?" I said while checking his or her profile. Sabi dito sa about nya his a boy. But he doesn't have a profile picture here.

I went to his photos but suddenly the main door's opened then I saw Layt with red eyes. Did she cry?

"Hey, Layt. Okay ka lang? Does something happen?" I immediately hugged him and carried him to the sofa.

"Ohh Layt, andito kana pal— what happened?" Cail said and sat down next to Layt.

"Wala, I'm just tired of something." And suddenly she stood up.

"Uhmm sige na muna girls. Pahinga na muna ako sandali sa kwarto natin." We first showed him where our room was. Dalawa kasi yung room dito, on the left door, is our room and on the right door is like a study room.

"Layt! Naayos na namin ang mga gamit mo." Sabi naman ni Kim.

Wala pa akong naririnig kay Layt but suddenly she talked narin.

"Thank you." Yun lang at narinig ko at ang pag sara ng pinto.

"Anong nangyari dun?" Kim asked us and went in front of us.

"Hindi ko nga alam eh. Ikaw ba Cail?" Tanong ko naman Kay Cail. Nag kakaganyan lang si Layt pag mayroon syang problem na ayaw nya sa amin i-share. Or baka pagod lang talaga sya. I dunno!

"I expected this! Guys, puntahan ko lang sya." Dumaretso na agad siya sa kwarto pero may mga tanong parin akong gustong masagot.

"Anong ibig sabihin nya na expected nya na Ito?" Aish, my curiosity will kill me!

"Wow? Parang may mali, Sab?" Sabi naman ni Kim na nagugulohan din.

"Me too." I said softly. I felt sad tuloy.

"Kruuuuuuu!" shit isa pa itong kagutuman ko.

Nagka-tinginan naman kami ni Kim. "Hahahahaha!" We both laugh. Gutom na talaga kasi ako.

"Grabe Sab, nag-aalburoto na ang tyan mo. Malapit na siguro yung—" Napatigil kami sa ingay namin dahil may nag doorbell.

"Baka yung order na natin yun. Bilis!" Sabi ko at mabilis pa sa alas kwatro akong umupo. Nakakahiya kong pati ako nakaabang sa pinto. Mapag kamalan pa akong patay-gutom. Puft.

"Good Afternoon Ma'am, here's your order po."  Tiningnan ko lang yung paper bag at Jollibee!

"Here's your change ma'am." I-aabot na sana nung reader yung sukli ngunit.

"Ayy huwag na po kuya. Tip ko na rin po yan para sayo." She's always a generous girl.

"Ah, maraming salamat po Ma'am"

In fairness, cute ni kuyang reader. Did I say cute? God, I'm just stating the fact.

"Welcome!" At umalis na si Kuya reader.

"Sab! Ang cute nung delivery boy diba?" She said while holding the paper bag.

"Uhmm, yeah. But can we eat now?"   Tanong ko habang papunta kami ng kusina.

"Okay Sab, tawagin ko lang sila Cail at Layt saka tayo kakain, okay?"

Tumango naman ako. Pumunta na nga sya sa kwarto. Inihanda ko na ang pagkain namin. Nalalanghap kona ang sarap ng pagkain.

Sino nga naman ang hindi matatakam pag naaamoy mo ang mga pagkain sa Jollibee.

Hinintay ko nalang silang bumalik at napagpasyahan ko na munang umupo.
