It was awkward silence as we sat at the dining table. Mr.Darkskin with one of his hands folded as he scratched his neck with the other nervously, His father bulged his eyes out looking at me and his mother not paying attention to what was happening.
I had to say something I had to break the silence.
"What do you have to tell me ?" I said to Alec . He shrugged a bit and let out a sigh " I...I'm... I own a lot of businesses in and around the Caribbean."
I lift a brow not understanding exactly what he was saying. He gasped and said "I'm a millionaire," his father chuckled and said "you mean a billionaire" Mr.Darkskin rolled his eyes.
His father looked over at me as if he wanted me to give off an expression
In response, I said "Oh that's nice"
His father looked me up and down then walked out of the room. Alec rushed after him saying "I told you she didn't care about the money".
In actuality, I didn't care about money. I've never thought of someone else's money as mine and I'd never use someone for their money. The thought of his father not knowing me but thinks the worst of me doesn't sit right with me.
His mother walked over to me and apologized for his behavior. I lied reassuring her it was fine.
I sat awaiting Mr.Darkskin to appear from the door so we could leave. I felt uncomfortable after the way his father behaved.
He finally came, we said our goodbyes and off to the hotel we went. The car ride was silent. We reached the hotel and they brought our bags up. This hotel was so big and very exquisite. It was made mostly of glass. We reached the room and I went straight to the coach.
Mr.Darkskin looked at me from the corner of his eyes. He let out a sigh and walked over to me. He placed his hand on my neck and rubbed his thumb along my jaw, he gave me a peck on my lips followed by 100 kisses on my face. " I'm sorry baby. I didn't know my father would act in such a manner", I didn't reply and he said "please answer me, baby, I'm sorry, gimme kiss" I smiled and kissed his soft yet dry lips.
He pulled me from the couch while still kissing me and said " I have a surprise for you go get ready", I didn't hesitate and did as I was told.
