Chapter 10

Ainsley's P.O.V:

I am so pissed at Keaton. I couldn't believe that he would cheat on me with Ashley. I saw the video nothing he would say to me would change that. I was heartbroken. Lola wouldn't talk to Keat. She was just as pissed as I was.

Over the next couple weeks we would see each other in the halls at school and I would bee-line away from him. I didn't even want to see him anymore. I had just thought I loved him when he broke my heart.

Lola, Maya, Jess and Savannah. had tried to cheer me up but there was nothing really she could do. They took me out shopping, to a movie, out to eat and to the pool. Nothing could get my mind off of him.

Lola never left my side. She was always there to support me.

We were just getting to school for the day when Lola showed up with a new girl that I have never met before. She was very pretty with blonde hair, she had an athletic build. Maci was wearing a green crop top and a pair of holey, high waisted jeans, she had her blonde hair into two dutch braids. She wore makeup- but, she kept it all looking very natural.

"Hey Ains, this is my cousin Maci. The one that lived in Alaska." Lola said.

"Oh hi Maci, I'm Ainsley." I said. "Um if I may ask what are you doing here if you live in Alaska?"

"Ains, Maci just moved here. I am going to show her around town and the school." Lola stated.

"Oh well It's a pleasure to have you here." I said to Maci.

"It's great to be here. Any friend of Lo's is a friend of mine. I hope you don't mind her hanging out with me." Maci replied.

"Oh, it's no problem, I am always looking for new friends." I said smiling.

Maci was super nice she ate lunch with us and was in a lot of my classes. Science and English class sucked because Keaton was in it and we had to sit next to each other.

"Hey, Ainsley we really need to talk. There's been a big misunderstandng." Keaton said to me in science class.

"Save it Keat, I don't wanna hear it." I replied in a snarky tone.

I huffed and took a deep breath.

Maci leaned over and whispered to me. "Is there something going on with you and Keat?" She asked. "Oh never mind that's not really my business." She added quickly.

"Um no it's okay it's over. it's over anyways. We just went through a breakup." I answered with a sigh

"Oh I am so sorry I had no idea. Do I need to punch him?" Maci asked.

"Um not it's okay. I don't wanna see him or talk to him anymore than I have to." I replied.

"Can I ask what happend between you two?" She asked. Man Maci was a bit nosey but I guess it's her cousin so that's okay.

"Um I found out he cheated on me with a girl named Ashley." I told her nervously shaking a little.

"Omg I am so sorry Ainsley. I had no idea. I didn't think Keat was that kind of guy." She stated sympathetically.

"I didn't think he was like that either but I guess I was wrong." I said bluntly.

"Well if you need anything like ice cream or a shoulder to cry on let me know." She said handing me her phone number.

"Thank you Maci, I really appreciate it." I answered smiling a little.

"Anytime Ains, I am gonna have a talk with Keat though." She said getting up out of her desk.

"You don't have to do that." I said.

"I know but I want to make sure you're not missing something. I can tell you truly cared about Keat and I can tell he feels the same. I want to make sure you're not making a mistake or misunderstanding him." She said.

"Thank you Maci, you are a good friend." I stated and decided I was going to be good friends with Maci.

Class was ending just then so I got up out of my desk and went to my Spanish class. Spanish class was boring as usual. Then I went to the usual lunch,P.E. and science. I was so ready for school to be done for the year. So Keat would graduate and wouldn't have to see him again. It was only March sadly.

Lola texted me:

Lola: Hey I know I said I would meet you after school, but I have to watch Alex.

Me: That's Okay Lo, I'm just going to watch TV anyways.

Lola: OK, I'm so sorry Ains, but I will make it up to you. I promise.

Then Maci texted me:

Maci: Hey do you wanna hang after school? Lola told me what happend and I wanna help.

Me: Yea we can hang that sounds fun. You wanna go get frozen yogurt?

Maci: OK sounds good. Can't wait!

I went home quickly after school and I then changed into something more comfortable then met Maci at Yolo Froyo. Maci and I got along well, we have a lot in common. She is very sporty. Maci plays tournament softball and tournament volleyball. We talked for housrs about the littlest things and biggest world interest. She used to play softball on the national team in Alaska. I learned Maci loved Froyo and I was so glad I suggested that we went and got some, she also enjoys ROM-COM movies and popcorn with Parmesan cheese on top. Maci told me she hasn't been back to the lower 48 states in a couple of years. I wanted her welcome to be amazing.

"Well Maci, It's getting late." i finally concluded looking down to my apple watch.

"Oh my it is late! I didn't realize that it was this late already." She confirmed.

"I will see you tomorrow Maci, have a good night." I told her.

"You too Ains, I will see ya tomorrow." Maci replied.

I went home and changed into my pj's grabbed some water, and an apple. Then, I went to bed.

KEATON POV:

I really wanted Ainsley and I's relationship to be fixed. I never meant to hurt her and if she actually knew what happend she would most likely forgive me.

I decided to text Ash.

ME: Hey Ash can you send me those videos. I want the edited one and the original?

Ash: Oh so now you decide to talk to me. But, yeah, I will send you them mostly because I am feeling really guilty.

Ash: Video messages attached

ME: Thank you Ash, this means a lot.

I looked at the video and By the time I made sure the original video was not edited in anyway it was a little after 1 AM. I sent it to Ainsley not expecting a reply until morning anyways. Hopefully she will know that It wasn't my fault.
