"Ok Ainsley do you promise?" My best friend 7 year old Lola Colt said to me.
"I pinky promise." I answered.
"Ok so now for the rules." Lola said.
"Rule one always be friends with each other no matter what." I said.
"That's a good one, rule two should be always forgive each other when we hurt each other." Lola responded.
"Rule three always share secrets with eachother." I said writing it down.
"Rule four never date relatives." She added to the list.
"Eww boys are gross." I said.
"Rule five never ever ever lie to eachother." Lola said.
"Ok that should be enough." I said.
Then we both signed our names.
"What should we call this rule list?" I asked.
"How about the 5 golden rules of being besties?" Lola suggested.
"Ok." I said.
We titled it and then made a pact to honor the rules no matter what...
5 GOLDEN RULES OF BEING BESTIES:
1. Always Be Friends No Matter What
2. Always Forgive Each Other
3. Always Share Secrets With Each Other
4.Never Date Any Relatives
5. Never Lie to Each Other
