Morning sunrays peeked through the sheer curtains of Imlie and Aryan's room, disturbing their peaceful slumber.

They had slept late last night, since they were busy packing Arpita's Rakhi gift, about which they had remembered only on that morning.

Imlie snuggled closer to Aryan, who reflexively pulled her closer towards him, wrapping his arms around her waist, enveloping her in his warmth.

Imlie's head was tucked under his chin as she cuddled to him, her right hand wrapped around his torso, her even breaths fanning on his clothed chest.

Aryan sleep broke due to the continuous beam of sunrays falling on his face and he opened his eyes only to find Imlie snuggled against his chest.
A warmth spread through his whole body as he pulled her closer, making her hum in contentment.

Aryan had gotten used to these type of mornings. Being an early riser, he always woke up to such mornings where he had Imlie nestled against his body. He'd steal some moments in gazing at her beautiful face until she woke up.

The change in their sleeping arrangements was one of the major developments in their relationship.

Flashback:

Almost a month ago, Imlie had woken up in the middle of the night due to the loud thundering and lightning. This thunderstorm had lead to one of the biggest nightmares of her life.

She was terrified, her body was shaking due to fear. She clutched the pillow closer to her heart to seek some warmth and comfort but it wasn't working.

Her eyes roamed around the dark room and stopped when her gaze fell on the sleeping form of Aryan. She got up from the couch and walked towards the bed and climbed on it. She moved closer towards Aryan and held one of his hands closer to her heart, which was beating at rapid rate.
She lied down beside him, still clutching onto his hand, deriving the much needed warmth and comfort from him. She kept gazing at his peaceful form and had slipped into a peaceful slumber.

When Aryan had woken up the next morning, he was surprised seeing Imlie clinging onto him tightly as if stopping him from moving away.
Imlie had opened her eyes due the movements next to her and as soon as she had realised their position, she widened her eyes and had quickly got up from the bed, a blush forming on her cheeks.

She had fumbled as she explained Aryan why she had slept on the bed at night. He had simply taken her in a comforting hug and had kissed her forehead without asking any questions.

There was no awkwardness but, she was bashful and had avoided looking into his eyes, the whole day.
Aryan was amazed by her behaviour.
When the night had come he had asked her to sleep on the bed stating that the couch was uncomfortable and she should not sleep there anymore and Imlie had readily agreed, inwardly happy at his suggestion.

For a first few days, both slept on the extreme ends on the bed. Aryan slept straight on the bed like a log, while Imlie being Imlie, moved all over the bed while sleeping and ended up being plastered to Aryan's body in the morning.
So they ditched sleeping on the ends of the bed and instead slept cozily, beside each other with their fingers intertwined.

There were some more changes that had taken place in a span of two months.

Imlie and Aryan spent more time together. Aryan would drive Imlie to her college first and then go to his office.
