Although i was just joking to Secretary Li pero tinotoo talaga niya.

I didn't expect Siej to come inside my house!

I looked at the man and he stared straight through me kaya tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"Go to the banquet with me, Adriana." Malamig niyang sabi.

Huh!? Nang-aya siya? Seryoso? Anong nakain nito?

"And if i say no?"

"You're my fiancèe and if you won't come with me to the banquet--," I cut his words before he can finish what he wants to say.

"Ano?" I provocatively said as i look at him.

"I'll make sure i'll drag your dad's company--," Hindi ko na siya pinatapos ulit.

Takot lang akong mawala ang kompanya ni papa.

"B-But seriously I'm not really feeling well. As you know, I'm discharge from the hospital not long ago.." Mahinang eksplenasyon ko nito.

"You don't want to?" Aniya.

I can feel his murderous aura around me huhu.

"O-Okay." I hesitantly said as i lower my head.

Anong mangyayari mamaya? Ayaw ko na sanang pumunta sa banquet! I want to avoid the fate of Adriana pero...

Wala akong magawa habang inaayusan ako ng pinadalang makeup artist and stylist ni Siej sa bahay. Akala niya naman bahay niya 'to. Psh!

I just wore an exquisite lavander dress na may mga nakalagay na scattered small diamonds around the dress.

Simple lang naman ang dress kaso kung titignan mong mabuti, diamonds pala ang nakapagbigay ng shining brights wherever i walk.

Nakalugay lang ang mahaba kong buhok hanggang baywang. Sinabi kong simple lang ang makeup ko. I don't want to be in the same limelight sa mga ibang charaters sa book.

When i go downstairs, Secretary Li waited for me in the living room and told me na si Siej ay pumasok na sa sasakyan niya na maghahatid sa amin sa banquet for tonight.

Bumuntong huminga ako at ngumiti ng pilit kay Secretary Li papalapit sa kanya.

"You look so... beautiful, Miss Pierce." Nakangiting sambit ni Secretary Li.

I smiled and says, "Thank you."

He escorted me palabas ng bahay and  get inside Siej's luxury rolls royce.

Kaya i roll my eyes when i get inside.

I saw Siej beside me looking at me coldly then turned his head away as he instructed the driver to drive now matapos makapasok si Secretary Li sa sasakyan at umupo sa co-pilot.

Nakasimangot akong nakatingin sa labas ng sasakyan at binaba ang bintana so i can breathe and feel the air--

"Close the window." Malamig na sabi ni Siej kaya napalingon tuloy ako sa kanya.

"At bakit naman? Ang ganda nga ng hangin eh it's so--", Hindi niya ako pinatapos magsalita.

"Polluted." He said coldly as he look at me before he turns his head to look ouside the window of his side.

"Close it." Sabi niya pa.

I sneer at him as i close the window. Ang pangit talagang kasama itong si Siej. Ba't patay na patay si Adriana sa kanya? Tsk.

Tahimik kami buong biyahe and when Secretary Li told us that we arrived at saka lang ako kinabahan.

Tonight, i will see the main characters in the book aside Siej, i can see the female lead in real life now.

Naunang lumabas si Siej kaya lalabas na din sana ako nang si Siej pala ang nagbukas para sakin.

I can feel some warmth because of what he did. May pagka gentleman naman pala itong si Siej kahit ayaw niya kay Adriana, ah.

"Whatever your thinking, don't even think about it." I heard him say kaya ngumiwi ako.

I changed my mind. He's not gentleman at all.

Nilahad niya ang kanang kamay niya as if asking me to hold it kaya walang akong magawa and hold his hand tightly at lumabas na sa sasakyan.

Napatingin tuloy ang ibang tao sa amin and whispered to their partners beside them, probably about us.

Walang imik kaming pumasok sa malaking mansyon ng mga Montelco.

When we reach to the banquet hall, marami na palang tao sa loob. Some are socialising and some are even eating.

The banquet hall is so big. May stage pa nga in the corner. I think this banquet will also be in a special ocassion.

I never knew ganito pala ang banquet ng mga mayayaman. But well, i have to act normal like i was used to it na.

"Mr. Avis!" Biglang bati ng lalaking medyo mataba na to Siej as he is walking heading towards us.

Dahil medyo malakas ang pagbati niya at lumingon tuloy ang ibang mga tao samin kaya ngumiti ako ng peke.

"Nandito na ang mag lovebirds."

"I can say na they look great! So bagay talaga!"

"Mr. Siej is soft only to Ms. Pierce but to others, he is so cold."

"Ms. Pierce is truly a beauty. Ang ganda ng dress niya."

"She is so elegant bagay kay Siej talaga!"

They keep whisperings to the people beside them. Hindi ko alam kong whisering na ba tawag dahil rinig na rinig ko ang sinasabi nila pero what did they say?

Bagay? Lovebirds? Are they kidding me?

Ayaw ko nga ng limelight pero hindi pa nga nagsimula ang banquet, i already have the limelight.

Niyakap ko nalang ang kanang braso ni Siej as to not get lost and won't meet the female lead.

Good thing Siej is also cooperative and even don't mind me hugging his right arm. He even introduce me to those businessmans.

"When is the wedding, Mr. Siej?" Nagbibirong tanong ni Mr. Lim sa amin as he drinks his wine.

A waiter suddenly walks into us at kukuha sana ako ng isang baso ng red wine pero Siej block my hand.

"You are not allowed to drink some wine, Adriana." He coldly said as he stares at me.

I pouted as i stare back at him. Ano bang problema nito?

I was about to talk back to him when we heard someone talking above the stage kaya lumingon ako sa stage and look at the person talking.

"Welcome everyone to our family's banquet! Aside from this event, this is also an engagement occasion of one of my dear sons, Vanz and his fiancé Sandra." He happily announced as he urge the two people in front to get on the stage.

Dito ko lang naalala na engagement party pala ito ng eldest son ng Montelco Family and the commoner Sandra, as they say.

Sandra is very pretty with her simple and elegant white dress habang pogi naman itong Vanz sa suot nitong puting tuxedo.

I was smiling happily at them when i remembered something.

Nanlaki ang mata kong naalalang may babaeng waiter pala sa tabi ko at nakatingin sa harap din while also stealing glances at Siej.

Is this the female lead!?
