Chapter 39

As the chopper started flying, nakahawak pa rin si Siej sa kamay ko.

Hindi ko namalayan na siya pala ang naglagay ng headphones sa akin kung hindi ko narinig ang boses ng piloto.

As i look outside the flying chopper, i stare down at the house where i got kidnapped.

I really feel that something is missing. That i forgot something.

I can feel Siej tapping my hand intertwined hid kaya i turn my head and look at him.

He mouthed, 'Everything's alright now.'

Tumango nalang ako as i decided to lean my head on his shoulders.

Ang daming nangyari ngayon. I want to rest.

I close my eyes as the darkness swallows me.

Nagising lang ako dahil sa boses na.. umiiyak?

I slowly opened my eyes at bumungad sa akin si Papa na nakasuot ng hospital gown as he lowered his heand and  bawling uncontrollably.

Naramdaman niya 'atang nagising ako kasi he raised his head and look at me with tears on his eyes.

"A-Anak..," naiiyak niyang sambit sa akin as he walked slowly near me and hug me tightly.

I bit my lower lip as i tried to hold my tears.

I don't like to see my Dad being weak. I want him to be jolly like how he will always calls sweet names for me.

"P-Papa..," bulong ko as i hug him back and buried my face on his stomach.

I miss this familiar smell.

I smiled at Papa when he let go of the hug and stare at me intently.

"I'm glad you're okay, My sweetheart," nakangiting sambit ni Papa as he wiped his tears using the back of his hands.

Umiwas ako ng tingin sa kanya at pinunasan ang luha ko gamit ang kamay ko and i look around us.

Ngayon ko lang namalayan na nasa hospital kami. Ang ward ko ay may dalawang kama pala at ako ang nakahiga sa isa.

When i look back at Dad, alam ko na agad na siya ang nakahiga sa isang kama.

"Are you okay, Papa?" nag-alalang tanong ko nito as i tried to sit.

Tinulungan naman niya ako at nang nakaupo na ako ay saka siya umupo sa tabi ng kama ko as he held my both my hands.

"I'm okay, Adriana. Good thing Siej was here beside our family and helps us a lot," aniya.

Huminga ako ng malalim ng maalala si Siej.

"Nasaan nga pala siya, Papa?"

I want to talk to him about something. I have already decided.

He chuckles, "He's in the police station, sweetie pie. Filing some cases for those kidnappers who kidnapped you."

Napatango nalang ako at binalik ko na agad ang atensyon ko kay Papa.

"Are you sure you're okay, Papa? I heard one of those kidnappers--," napahinto ako dahil may sumagi sa isip ko.

I feel like something is odd. May nakausap ba akong kidnapper roon? I can't remember.

"What did he say?" walang emosyon na  tanong ni Papa sa akin kaya napatungo ako.

"He said you had a heart attack because you heard about my situation kaya si Siej ang nag-alaga sayo rito," ani ko.

I heard him sigh at hinaplos ang mukha ko.

"Don't worry, My dear. Okay lang ako. I still have to wait for my grandkids," masayang sambit ni Papa na ikinalaki ng mata ko.
