124 AC             DRIFTMARK

"I will wed Rhaenyra."

Valyria turned to look at him.

"What? Why?"

"It will strengthen her claim to the throne, and provide a secure —"

"You love her, don't you? This whole time? I remember when she came to see you, those few years ago."

"I—"

"Laena and Laenor just passed, father."

Daemon took her hands in his.

"This is good for us." He swore.

"But do you? Love her?"

"I do love her." He looked down, not meeting her eyes.

Valyria smiled at him, hoping that everything would go as planned.

...

"Hen lantoti anogar."

There stood Jace, Luke, Rhaena, Baela and Valyria, watching the wedding of their parents.

Valyria was standing on the side, next to Jacarys. The boy glanced at her sometimes, but they didn't speak to each other.

"syndroti. Vaedroma. Mero perzot gihoti."

"Eledroma iarza sir. Izuli ampa perzi. Prumi lanti seteksi. Hen jeny mazilarion."

As she watched the ceremony, she thought about what this all meant.

"Qelossa ozundesi. Syndroro ono jedo. Ry kivia mazvestraksi."

...

They arrived at Dragonstone, Irudy being the first to land. Soon landed the rest; Caraxes, Syrax, Vermax and Moondancer.

Rhaena and Luke came with a ship.

Valyria looked at the high walls of the castle that she would soon call home.

...

125 AC

Two dragons danced in the chilly night sky, the riders feeling the cold breeze against their skin.

Other was dark, and small. The second was light, and large compared to the other.

The night was quiet, lit only by the shining moon.

The dragons flew through the clear sky over Dragonstone, like they were the only beings in the world.

Finally, the dragons landed on the other side of the island, where no one was on sight.

The two dragonriders walked further on the high hills, watching the endless coast in a comfortable silence.

They sat down on the edge of the cliff right next to each other.

The girl rested her head on the boy's shoulder, feeling the tiredness slowly creeping in.

"I don't want to leave this spot." Valyria said, half asleep.

"We don't have to." Jacarys promised her.

"My father will worry about us, if we don't leave soon."

Jace closed his eyes, enjoying the moment.

During their year on the island, the two eleven year olds grew close. They didn't talk to each other much, but they had a mutual understanding of each other.

...

"How was your night?" Daemon asked as he leaned on the castle's main entrance door.

Valyria looked at him, an embarrassed look on her face.

"Good." She answered, as Jace was hopping of his dragon.

"You know you should of been back a while ago?"

"Yes I'm sorry, father."
"Sorry." The kids apologised.

Daemon smiled at them.

"Jace, go to bed. Valyria, I have something for you."

Jace gave a small smile to Valyria, before getting inside.

"What is it? I know, we were late, and I'm sorry—"

Daemon shushed her, and took something from his pocket.

It was a simple box that was the size of his palm. He gave it to her, closed.

"What is this?" She asked.

"Open it." He smiled.

Inside was a beautiful necklace, covered by lilac stones that were attached to a thick rose gold chain, and a carving that read the name Targaryen.

"It was my mother's. And now, it's yours." He shyly said.

"I, it's beautiful." She looked at it up close, holding carefully.

"Let me." Daemon took it from her hands, and as Valyria took her long hair out of the way, he placed it around her neck.

The necklace complimented her fair skin and white and gold dress.

Daemon admired her, his daughter.

"Let's go inside."

...

As the morning came, Rhaenyra, Daemon and Valyria were walking around the island.

Rhaenyra noticed the pearl white dragon up in the skies, watching down at them. Valyria seemed unfocused, paying her attention elsewhere.

"Is she always with her? Irudy?" Rhaenyra wondered.

Daemon looked up at the dragon.

"Pretty much, yes. Especially when they were young."

Daemon laughed.
"When she was about one name day old, Irudy never let her out of sight."

"Hm." Rhaenyra said.

Valyria didn't listen to their conversation. She walked first, Daemon and Rhaenyra on the back.

"Funny, how I grew up with Syrax, we even slept in the same cradle. Still, their bond seems to be out of this world."

"Indeed."

They walked for a moment, until Valyria suddenly stopped.

"Val? What is it?" Daemon questioned.

"I think, that we should go back inside." She said, not faceing them.

"Why? Is everything alright?" Rhaenyra wondered.

"Rhaenyra —" Daemon tried.

"There's a storm, it will catch soon."

"But I don't see any clouds, Valyria —"

"Okay. Let's go back." Daemon said, before Rhaenyra could finish.

"Daemon—"

"Let's go. I'll explain later." He whispered.

...

"What was that about? The weather seems fine—"

As Daemon closed the door, he spoke; "Listen — I know it seems strange, but Valyria has these — feelings, or visions, almost."

"Like — to the future? You can't be serious."

"No, present."

"I'm not following—"

"In a minute, there will be a storm. She has never been wrong about these things. I don't know how it works, neither does she."

After, they heard a knock on the door.

"Prince Daemon, princess Rhaenyra. I've come to inform you of rapid thunderstorms outside. Tis' not wise to go outside today. It's just for your safety." A guard came to inform them.

"Alright. Thank you for alarming us. You may leave." Daemon said.

Rhaenyra rushed over to the window, and there it was.

"How is this possible?"

...

Thank you for all the love <3
