Valeriana's pov

After getting ready for school I follow my brothers to school. I didn't eat breakfast with them since I wasn't hungry. The school was fairly big and you can tell they had good funding. Matteo went off with his group of friends the moment he got out of his car. Valerico and Valentino stayed with me. I was officially introduced to their friend. Her name was Verena. She was just their friend. They made it abundantly clear this morning. For some odd reason they kept telling me that she was just a friend. After the tour I had to walk away from them because of how annoying they were.

My classes were like any other class, boring. I had a few with my brothers and or their friends. I didn't know Matteo's friend but I remember what he looked like from the mall. I haven't met anyone worth trying to be friends with so I would tell them I wasn't interested in being their friend when they would try to talk and get to know me. When it was lunch time I wasn't hungry but I headed towards the cafeteria to scope out the place. It's not like I had anything better to do.

As I walked to the cafeteria I sent Trey an update on how boring this school was. He found out from his dad that I was starting today so he asked me how it was so far. I didn't give him full details like I would with my dad and papà but I kept him informed.

As I walked into the cafeteria it was full of students. I walk around and in between tables looking at students and listening to some conversations. As I continued walking I came across my brothers' table.

"What are you doing?" Valerico asked. I stop before offering a smile.

"Oh the usual. Checking the place out seeing who to steer clear of. Finding who isn't worth my time. So far it's a long list," I state.

"You really are honest. Do you have the ability to lie?" Matteo asked. My eyes scan over him quikly.

"Yes, you look great today," I say. Matteo's mouth dropped open while my other brothers laughed. Matteo was wearing wrinkled clothes. His shirt had a stain on it and his pants didn't match. I heard earlier the paint exploded onto him and he had to borrow other people's clothes and they looked like they were borrowed.

Someone stumbled into me but I didn't budge. I glance behind me. There was a girl with light brown hair. She had on huge false eyelashes. I give her a look of disgust.

"Watch where you're going," she snapped.

"Ooh, you're definitely at the top of my damn list," I snapped back. I rip her eyelashes off before sticking them to her forehead. "There now you can fucking see. Go be a bitch somewhere else," I say while glaring at her. Her mouth dropped open in shock.

"You did not just do that to me!" she says. I raise an eyebrow.

"Well, I did. You can leave now," I say while stepping back and motioning her to walk away. She continued to stare at me in disbelief.

"You leave," she finally says. I make a look of shock.

"It took you two minutes and 40 seconds to respond. You're clearly not the brightest student attending here. I was in the middle of something as I'm sure you were too. Bye," I say, nudging her to walk. She walks past me.

"Whose slow ass was that?" I asked. My eyes go to my brothers' table. They all had amused looks on their faces.

"That would be Alice. She thinks she runs things around here because her aunt is the principal. You know, typical queen bee," Verena states with a smirk.

"I've never seen her back down like that," Matteo says.

"She seems like she can only focus on one task at a time. I was just testing it. Getting her to walk she continued to walk. I was right," I state before I walk around.

"You're so fucking weird!" Valentino shouts after me. I continue my mission of scoping out the students. My eyes land on a group of stoners. They all had snacks. The good snacks. I chuckle while walking away.

"You're new right?" A masculine voice asked. I look at the group behind the stoners. My eyes land on a boy and a girl. The boy had black hair and light gray eyes. The girl had dirty blond curly hair. Her eyes were a bright blue. She was adorable.

"Yes. I am," I say.

"You want to sit?" the girl asked. They were both turned to the side to look at me. I see an empty space on the bench in between two stoners. I sat down. The boy and girl turn to face me. They lean their backs against the table.

"I'm Ellis and this is Jaylin."

"Valeriana," I say. The girl next to me also had dirty blonde hair. Her eyes were red. She held the bag of chips out towards me. I reach in and take a few before turning back towards Ellis and Jaylin. I eat my chips and watch the two.

"Are you dating, bestfriends, step siblings, or all of the above?" I asked. Their eyebrows raise. The girl next to me chuckles before looking at who I was talking to.

"Those two are definitely all of the above," the girl laughs.

"Woah," I mutter. Jaylin's face was red. "Was I right or is this one just fucking with me?"

"Is it really that obvious, Sophie?" Jaylin asked. Sophie raised an eyebrow.

"Did you both think you were being discreet? I'm high half the time and I knew. So yeah it's fucking obvious. This bitch is new and she doesn't even know you and guessed right away," Sophie says.

"Shit I was fucking around. It feels great to be right," I smirk. Ellis looks at Jaylin before looking at me. "Chill, biologically you're not related," I state.

"Their parents are divorced now. They legally ain't siblings anymore anyways," Sophie says. Ellis and Jaylin give Sophie a look.

"Damn, you are just airing all their dirty laundry out there... It was nice meeting you guys. Maybe I'll see around," I say before standing up and walking away. I shake my head as I walk away from the table. They were interesting.
