Chapter 49

Valeriana's pov

Trey and I talked some more about what his next move was. Like where he would live and with who. He didn't have any other family members besides my brothers and I. Chris' sister died which resulted in Monroe moving in with them. When I asked about Janessa he said she didn't live with them. He barely got to see her. She lived with a woman who Chris entrusted.

My eyes shift to my brothers. They were still caught up in catching up with Papà Santorelli. Would they take Trey and Janessa in? I know they aren't Papà Santorelli's kids but they are still our siblings.

A group appears behind my family. Monroe, Brielle and others were walking over. My hand tightens around my gun when they all pull out guns and aim at my brothers. I quickly pointed my gun at Monroe and shot a warning shot at her. The bullet landed a few feet away. I rush over to her when she looks over at me. I lower my gun. I step in front of Monroe.

"You're fucking problem is with me. Drag them into it and you'll suffer more," I say. Monroe stares at me. She points her gun at my head causing me to smile. I take a step towards her. My wrist gripping hers as I push the gun closer to my head. "Do it," I challenge. Monroe's hand tightened around the gun.

"Valeriana!" Aurelio warned. Just as I see a shift in Monroe's hand I move her hand as she pulls the trigger. The bullet went into her foot. Her hold on the gun loosened. The gun fell to the ground. Before her group of people could register what happened I shot them all in the heads before leaving Brielle. I shot her in the shoulder causing her gun to drop. My body was tense before I lowered my gun and took a deep breath.

"Fucking bitch!" Brielle shouts I smirk at her. I laugh while nodding my head.

"Damn. I forgot about you. Of course your ass was a part of this the whole relationship we had was you purposefully hurting me. I'm going to have a damn field day with all of you," I say. "Blitz and Arrow, get them situated then retrieve the others from the basement," I order. Devyn and Kian chuckle before stepping forward.

"Damn, yall are in for it now," Devyn smirks before knocking them both out. They begin dragging them by their feet to the van they most likely brought.

"That was fucking stupid to do Valeriana," Aurelio says. I turn to him with a raised eyebrow.

"I said I would try not to do anything stupid, not that it wouldn't happen. I wanted to see if she would. She would have. She failed. Do you know what I do to failures?" I asked. Aurelio didn't answer. I smirk at him. "I gut them while they are alive. They get to think about how they shouldn't have fucked with me while they slowly die. I like to see how long they live. Not many live long," I laugh before turning to look at Trey. He was talking with Jamie.

"You are so disturbing when you are like this. Where is the Valeriana we know?" Matteo asked, I look at him.

"Eh, this is Echo. Good luck getting Valeriana back. Echo is out for blood," Kian says as they walk past us.

"So Trey wasn't a part of this?" Nazario asked. I shook my head.

"Nope, turns out mother is also Trey and Janessa's mother. He's clueless to what they had planned for me and that we share the same mother," I respond.

"Another brother and sister?" Santino asked. I shrug my shoulders.

"Ew, do you think he ever had a crush on you? Since you guys didn't know you were related?" Valentino asked. I throw my head back and laugh loudly.

"You want to ask him that? I bet you he sees me as a dude," I asked.

"I mean now I'm curious," he said as I shook my head while smiling. My eyes go to Trey and Jamie. They looked like they were finishing their conversation. I waited until they were done.

"J-man, come take this gun. Trey get your ass over here," I holler at them. They both turn to me before walking over. Jamie takes my gun before walking away. Trey crossed his arms over his chest as he stood next to me.

"So did you ever have a crush on our sister?" Valentino asked. Trey's face twisted in disgust. He looked at me.

"No offense V, but looking at you is like looking at a guy. No thanks," he says with a smirk causing me to chuckle.

"Told you," I mutter.

"I'm confused, so how is he our brother if we were the same age? We are triplets. And you are Chris' son not his," Valerico asked.

"Father lied to V about my age. I'm actually 16 and skipped a grade because mother and father pushed me to study until I qualified to skip a grade," Trey says. My eyebrows furrowed. Mother and father. Don't think I didn't catch that slip up. He didn't put my before, mother or father. Normally when referring to your parents you say my mother or my father. Mother hates it and only accepts mother. Did they abuse him too? Trey usually refers to them as mom and dad.

"Right, but the woman took Valeriana when she was three or four," Valerico says.

"Your mother left a few months after you guys were born then came back after a year or so then later is when she took Valeriana," Papà Santorelli explained. Valentino and Valerico nod their heads. That makes more sense now. I was a little confused as to how she got with Chris and had Trey.

"Where are you and Janessa going to go?" Aurelio asked. Trey shoved his hands into his pockets.

"Oh we have a place," he says. He blinks his eyes twice.

"How many times do I have to tell you that you are a shit liar and shouldn't do it?" I asked. Trey glared at me.

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop analyzing me. It's fucking creepy. Mind your damn business," Trey says, causing me to smile. I rolled my eyes before kicking his leg. Trey held his leg before moving away from me. "Bitch," he muttered.

"Fucker." Trey looks at me before making a face at me. I make a face back and my brothers all laugh.

"You guys are such siblings," Santino says. I glare at him.

"Shut up," I grumble.

"You and Janessa can stay with us. You might not be my kids but you are my kids' siblings. We are about family no matter how much or little blood you share with us," Papà Santorelli says. Trey's eyes widened slightly. He looked at me.

"Mm, living under the same roof as V. Was never a plan for me. Been there and done that. I almost died," Trey says, causing me to smile brightly. Remembering the time he was referring to. We had a mission Chris wanted us to do. It was out of town and we had a rental house since we were in town for a few weeks.

"Oh come on how was I supposed to know you wouldn't wake up when I threw you in the pool. Who gets a cold ass shock and still sleeps through it?" I asked. Trey narrowed his eyes on me.

"Try someone who was up for 4 days straight. I passed out from exhaustion, V!" Trey shouts. I roll my eyes.

"I saved you didn't I?" I asked while crossing my arms over my chest and huffing.

"Barely," he grumbled.

"Whatever. Aurelio doesn't let me do anything fun at home anyways. You'll be safe," I state. Aurelio gave me a look.

"You barely leave your room and when you do it's to do something stupid," he sighs. I smile while shrugging my shoulders.
